Crafting Writs need to change

With One Tamriel coming I think it's time to look back at this. Delivering Writs to Orsinium is getting old and I don't want to level down my skill just to do it on Craglorn. So I have a suggestion:

Let us deliver our daily writs on the region we got them from. If I get the writ on Orsinium, I deliver it on Orsinium. If I get it on Shadowfen, let me deliver it there.

How about we make it so when u pick up the quest, if u have the mats it just insta swaps them for the boxes in your inventory?

It would make it easier but then people keep complaining about them making everything easier, so don't really want to go there.

On a side note, does anyone actually use the glass fragments?
I have about 150 so might have to look at selling some if there is a market for them.

How in the world would it make them easier? I'm just changing the location I deliver them........

And not forcing so many loading screens or wrothgar freezes. Not sure where el champ got the notion it'd make the writ itself easier....

I'm tired of the wrothgar loads and freezes, it's time for a change.

These are the same people that dont realize theyre becoming the old man in the neighborhood screaming at kids to get off their lawn. "In my day we had to travel to Mournhold on foot and back without wayshrines! Wayshrines make everything easier!".

The problem with people claiming the developers are making things easier is that its never an attempt to actually preserve anything. Its always to assert the struggle they had to experience on those who have yet to go through it. Its absurd and spits in the face of progress.

Reworking writs so that you can pick them up anywhere, as you currently can, and then turn them in anywhere that has a turn in point doesnt destroy anything. It simplifies a mechanic that requires far more travel than necessary. And it creates a reason to continue using turn in points long after youve "outleveled" them.

Well you try to fight the symptom instead to cure the desease - if Wrothgar is the problem, Wrothgar needs fixing, not the writs. There is nothing wrong with those writs, and it is fun having to deliver them to different places - at least to me it is.

What is with all these threads about kicking writs from Orsinium lately? If you don't wanna go there due to lag issues that's understandable or if you want to do writs in Craglorn because of Nirncrux which we are supposed to get available beyond Craglorn at some point but nothing yet but any other reason is just ridiculous, unless you don't have the DLC and it wants you to go there despite the fact you can't.

I agree with the OP, this is very annoying, I can't count how many crashes I've had since the last patch, Wrothgar was already a bit finicky and with this extra nonsense going on with Consoles crashing constantly it's a perfect storm of *** every time I try to do a crafting writ.

Even without all these bugs, it'd be nice if we didn't have to travel around everywhere delivering them, you should be able to deliver them anywhere you happen to be at the time that has a drop-off point. Making us do extra load screens just draws out the process in an annoying way that in no regard is necessary, and with the crashes on top of it this is just ridiculous.

So am I the only one that doesn't have crashing issues in Orsinium? Sure I lag but I haven't crashed there in ages...

Writs are completely fine, but they are dull and unimaginative. They need to made into something more than just a tedious task to do daily for potential income.

Agreed, especially if they'll fix the ground so my horse stops getting slowed by the slightest change in elevation.

What I would love to see changed about the writs is either the surveys not being bound, or at a minimum letting us put multiple copies in the bank or on a mule. Even better would be just getting the materials direct from the reward containers. As it is, I usually just trash my maps because going to all the sites for multiple characters is a chore, not fun gameplay.

    Edit: typographical error.

Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

I go and do each of mine... but it is indeed a chore and not fun. To the point, I now get excited when no survey is dropped.
