Put a blue in locked chests

I mean really, its just not worth the time to stop and lock pick a chest for a green weapon a bit of cash and a crafting style.

Put a blue item in there then it might be worth a look.

Haha yeah i guess i could run around putting blues in chests but i think it would be easier for ZOS to do it.

There are blues, but they have better chance of showing up in higher level chests. If you want blues, pass on the simple chests. Not a sure thing for the others, but better odds.

Sometimes you do get Blues. Simple locks tend to yield Gold and a Green item and Intermediate not much better so if anything hit the Advanced and Master locks.

Maybe make the vet dungeon chests Advanced then... Its annoying when the whole group stops play to open a crappy chest

I don't even open chests in group dungeons anymore. I run right past. They are just that useless. Perhaps a chance at the loot that drops in the dungeon might be a good incentive? Not the helm/shoulder, but the other dungeon loot that drops off the mini bosses sometimes.

Blue items exist in chests. Picked a many blue items over the last couple of years. Yesterday for example, a piece of Briarheart armor was inside a chest in Bangkorai.

Treasure Hunter CP doesn't appear to be make much of a difference either. I was finally able to get it, and boy howdy, I'm underwhelmed.

There's a treasure hunter Champion Perk, it increases the chances of getting blues and how many you may find in a single chest, though it's a waste to get for most characters as you have to spend 75 points to get it. I have one character I don't really like playing and made him my treasure chest farmer, gets about 6,000g - 7,000g and a boat load of blue items for decon in 15-20 mins of running around. As an altaholic this is very useful as I am getting more alts max crafting in blacksmithing, woodworking, clothing, and enchanting a lot faster with this method and around 20,000g per hour when I want.

At least opening the chest gives a few XPs. I take everything and sell the greens.

Treasure chests haven't been useful to me other than getting my LEG skill line up for some time now.

They should reduce the number of chests by at least half, while doubling the XP and raise the rewards in them.
There are literally dozens in every zone. They're not rare at all. lol


But as others have said, you do get blue and purple items too. Actually, in IC I looted a chest and got a gold item. (Sigil of retreat)

the chests arw a little too random, they should have set tiers , (this means increasing the value of glyphs which also shouldnt be so generic, with mastwr chests givig a 1/10 chance of gold gear. The ammount of time me and my group would reallocate cp for a master lvk chest to get purple/blue gear with the treasure hunter passive has made me swear them off forever. a gold sword of whatever isn't too op for am ultra rare drip amd a chance of getting 1 tempering alloy.

make chests exciting again! I kinda miss keeping an eye out for them, now I just loot heavy sacks >.<
