[Bug] Rapid Strikes final hit does no 300% damage

The final hit is critical hitting for me for only 40 damage. I am incredibly surprised this has not been mentioned yet

A few people have noticed it is feeling off, I never really looked till I tried it

That little damage amount never used to be there
But thx to how cp work you can increase these 0 damage to a small number.
Or do you get that little number also with no cp spent?

However, we still have a bugged tooltip, there is no 300% more damage

    i thought that little amount was added ontop of the final hit? got a meter to show it or something? i dont run addons

    Maybe when they reduced Rapid strikes from 6 to 5 hits, they simply moved the damage from the 6th hit to the 5th and made the 6th hit do 0 damage. But thx to how cp work you can increase these 0 damage to a small number.
    Or do you get that little number also with no cp spent?

    There is 6x hits in that picture and rapid is mean't to be 5.

    1.2 2x, 1.9x 2x and 4.6k (the 300%)

    I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

    2nd 1.2k
    3rd 1.9k
    4th 1.9k
    5th 4.6k (+300%)
    (Redundant 6th - 50, probably due to CP as stated above)

    Though each hit should gain buffed damage - I guess this could be a rounding issue with the combat text?

    I was in a raid for that, probably a wrong time to post a screenshot.

    the 5th hit did the same amount of damage as the 4th hit. Both were non crits

    I'll chime in with my results.

    Tested on mammoth:

    1st hit 1522 (crit)
    2nd hit 905
    3rd hit 1610 (crit)
    4th hit 6089 (crit)
    5th hit 58 (crit)

    I am getting 5 hits, but something is off here. A second test in the same conditions shows 6 hits, with the 6th being the piddly 40 or w/e.

    In all subsequent tests, looking at the floating numbers, the 5th hit IS doing much more damage, addons are just having trouble reading the new rapid strikes is all.

    HOWEVER, there is still the odd ~40 (non-DoT) damage that is being done by rapid strikes at the end (within .001 seconds of the last hit), which is odd.

    Basically it seems to be working fine except for the extra ~40 damage at the end. A freebie maybe?

    I am not seeing this. My damge is Scaling correctly according to my addons.

    You cant just go over and hit something, take your passives out.

    As some people already said rapid strikes still does 6 hits they only changed the animation and sound but the actual hits are still the same. Only one hit I dont know which does like 30-80 damage.

    And this is how addons confuse peopel that dont know how they work.

    You need a combat log addon to pinpoint this kind of problem, FTC is not suited for that and mostly usefull for quick in fight information.
    FTC only reports damage done by a skill ever so often ( somwhere between 1-0 seconds, im not exactly sure) every other damage done by the skill will show up as a [x2/3/etc.] this is why you can quickly gauge the number of targets hit by your AoEs by looking at the [xY] information, but it is a bit unclear when including DoT effects.basically any effect that deals damage faster than once per second can cause this to happen, especially flurry due to its very rapid nature.

    Hmm in game scrolling combat text doesn't show the low dmg hit iirc. However as the other said, they did not change how many times it hit they just reduced the 6th hit damage to a very low value (probably 0 but thanks to some factors it hit for more)
