Thieves Guild Board

Would it be possible to add in an option for 'not stealthy' builds? Mage's Guild line can be easily beaten/maxed by stamina builds, Fighter's Guild line can easily be beaten/maxed by magicka builds, even Dark Brotherhood 'can' be done with brute force... But, Thieves Guild? Gotta do pick pocket, stealthy, etc stuff... Need some options for those that aren't stealthy medium armor types. Where are the thugs in this gang? The press-gangs? The blackmailers and extortion rackets? Missed a whole lot of opportunity, not all 'rogues/thieves' are hiding in shadows, a lot are big brutes with two-handers walking down the streets in broad daylight.

You have a great point. There should've been more criminal careers as a thief, like you suggested.

However, if you level the ledgermain skill line to the max, you'll be a master thief in no time.

I have done and still do these with all types of armor, my light armor healplar, my heavy tank, as well as i am not going through all the quest now with my medium armor guy last.

What's sad, is the reason why stealth becomes an imperative, is that guards are impossible to kill. Reducing cost of sneaking and better at picking pockets, yeah, that helps... But, lowering bounty costs? Forcing locks? Doesn't do much. If a guard stops you, either run or give up your stolen stuff... Since that Countess quest comes up a lot, gotta keep your stolen stuff! The smaller detection area, better stamina regent, more stamina, etc... That's what makes it easier, since we can't kill guards.

See I take it as a challenge with these kind of things. I main as a Templar healer and I find having lower stamina it is harder. I use the passives from the medium armor skill line(only wear 1 piece but can help) and the ledgermain skill lines to help be a better thief/ninja. I probably have more Stamina than most magicka users since I am a fan of using the prismatic enchantments(only 2 pieces of my gear has enchantments :joy: ) so I have little over 11k stamina. But I do rather like the challenge it poses for me to have to time everything perfectly to get things done sneaky.

Sounds like you need some invisibility potions with major expedition. I am a stamnightblade and still use those suckers, for ultimate ease.

I do these quests on a dk, and yes, Invisibility + Speed potions are extremely useful.

The post isn't about 'Can it be done', it's about missing the equality of builds. I can get through any of the other guilds with equal ease on any build. Thieves guild should be no different. Remember in Skyrim, they had options/quests involving threatening people, busting stuff up, etc? I'm not asking for more than has already been done in any other game, or even in any other guild-line. Yeah, stealth is the most obvious way in DB, but it can VERY easily be done through pure brutality...

40% stamina reduction isn't much for a stamina character since medium armor already has a good amount of sneak reduction but that reduction is amazing for pvpers who want to go magicka or tank. Forcing locks is also really good when you're in Imperial City and don't want to get sneak attacked by nightblade #567.

The Covetous Countess is your answer OP. Everytime you do a tip board quest to its fullest you get a Large Shipment Box that contains 10 laundered treasures. Over time you can develop quite a collection that will forever fuel the requirement for The Covetous Countess, thus making it infinitely farmable with no effort required, save bouncing back and forth from Thieves Den to where she is for that particular run. The gold and xp earned is equal to that of a Wrothgar Daily Delve Quest. You also get a nice collection of Counterfeit Pardon Edicts :)

For more information consult my guide I made for her here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/261036/guide-to-preparing-for-the-covetous-countess
