Guild Trader shops shortage on Xbox One

I went back to Xbox One from PC. I wanted to level up my cooking by buying food from Guild shops.
There is a very big problem with Guild shops on Xbox One. There is very little to buy in all shops in Daggerfall or the starter island.
On PC I was in a Traders Guild but on Xbox One the chat box to the whole server is removed.
So I'm at a loss to understand how to join any Traders Guild on Xbox One.
The Guild shops give me the feeling there's only a hand full of Guild's selling in shops.
That's really bad news.
Please Help?

Text Chat was never part of the Console Platforms. Good news, it is coming, probably Q4 (Q3 maybe) this year or Q1 next.

I would find a Kiosk, look at some recent listings, find a name of someone who has listed items recently, and send them an email. Note, guilds may come and go with most Kiosks, but some can hold on to a spot for months. Those are typically the larger trader guilds.

I am surprised at the lack of goods on the Kiosks, but it could be due to Crafting Bags. I for one have stopped selling my excess ingredients and mats as I don't need to worry about bag space for crafting mats anymore.

As for Provisioning Ingredients, I get most of mine from Hireling mails. Also, Hireling Mails are your best source of Purple Ingredients. And, another good source of Provisioning Ingredients are Writs. Good news, the recipes needed for Writs are now sold by the Chef or Brewer NPCs in the game, so you are not stopped from doing a writ.

If your in Daggerfall, you can also get a ton of Ingredients, and level your Legerdemain if you go loot the ships in the harbor by the Kiosks. There is only one NPC, up on the deck, to worry about, under deck and the cabins are free from NPCs so you can steal with no risk. The Outlaw refuge where you Launder (you can also Fence stolen stuff for gold too) is real close to the Docks. So you can farm those ships until you reach your limits for the day (put a point in the Legerdemain Passive that increases this limit to 110 Fence/110 Launder per day, you get that at L2 in Legerdemain)

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I understand the difficulties, I left Xbox some time ago because of the lack of text chat.. You can try to find a guild through here as well (depending on whether you are NA or EU):

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/categories/en-xbox-one-eu

Hope you find something, and hang in there, text chat is supposedly coming..

There's also a Looking For Guild feature coming Soon™. However, we haven't heard anything about it besides the small piece at the beginning of the year talking about it. If that is implemented, it should be easier for people to find guilds with large numbers in order to participate for effectively.

A big issue right now is so many people bounce around tiny guilds, and it's difficult to find the really good ones who care.

All games these days are forever changing.
Take a break for a couple of months and somethings different.
Thanks for bring me up to speed on this.
I was wondering where the writs had gone.

    I'll give you a tip.
The professional Guilds change money per month for there service.
That way people need to work at staying in there Guild or there out.
You want the Guilds service, you got to pay for it.

The chat box fonts better a be readable size on tv screens or no one will use the chat box. Xbox games are not nerds!

Hopefully the text will be scalable like the PC does.

Piehole is kind of a social guild with an ok guild trader, but they are looking to move up if they get more active members.
