Vampirism Question

I've been out of the game for a while, and I know the Vampire and Werewolf bites are available for sale. But is is still possible to catch vampirism in the world? Do the NPC vampires still spawm? How damn hard to find are they? Is there a trick? I don't want to buy a bite, and I'd love to catch it as opposed to accepting it from a player but it seems so hard to find the vampires in Bangkorai or The Rift. Any advice?

Find a player to bite you. They still spawn naturally, but there are an abundance of bites everywhere
The natural spawns are highly rare, spawning only at specific times for an hour or so
NEVER buy the CS ones

If the fact of paying for a bite bother you, don't worry, you can find friendly people that will bite you for free with a little patience.

Otherwise, you can find on google websites explaining the vampirism process including maps with spawn locations.

Just go and look by Dune wayshrine when it gets dark, they seem to come quite often in my experience. All of my vampire characters have been bitten by bloodfiends there. They are more common than you may think
