I'm quite interested in how you guys see a raise of the CP cap and how far we should go with Update 11, answer the poll and post your thoughts below! (I heard that ZOS would raise the cap by 51 with each update coming after DB)

    We had the cap for quite a long time when Murkmire releases, so i think that it should be raised to 750. The jump from 501 to 552 is tiny and we have a very good catchup system with Enlightment and the increasing XP needed with growing CP.
    You're also able to grind in multiple locations with the DB update now so that CWC isn't the only cp160 grindspot besides DLC content anymore.

    I'm in azuras star for pvp, no cp makes its much better and more balanced.

    So I honestly don't care lmao. Can't stand the big servers. Lag, zergs, zergbombs and s**t talk make it unenjoyable.

    Glad azuras has a nice friendly community.

    I moved to Azura's Star recently and thus far it's been excellent for that; smaller scale, more evenly matched battles. Far more enjoyable.

    So CP wise, I don't mind. Though I think increments of fewer over many at once is the way to go.

    I'd say 750, on ps4 it realllly does seem like absolutely EVERYONE is at cp cap already. Raising it any lower would be a troll move not to. Seeing nearlt everyone at cap has shown me that the majoritt of players I see have actually been playing a long timw, not this 2 weeks at a time number zos gives. I'm not sure where they got the data from but I don't thinj it was accurately measured.

    The power gap is already nuts between noobs and seasoned players with things like learning moves, build crafting, rotations, animation canceling, smaller more specific tips and tricks...

    Cap is something we can control, at least for now.

    Z0$ will raise the cap slow as f because there is little end game content, just repetitive farm. Unless you want to go into Cyro and shoot unlimited meteors lol

    My guess Cp will be adjusted very slowly, to try and give the game some kind of longevity.

    They seemed to imply in last ESO Live (or some other communication, I honestly forget at this point) that raising the CP cap is a very difficult balancing equation. Bright side: that implies they are actively trying to work on reliable math to ensure a good balance point, which if we're lucky and they're clever also means it will be a scalable solution!! As such, my conjecture is that the next CP cap raise will be higher than the extra 51 they initially said they'd be increasing it by.

    I do think they ought to raise the cap, but at the same time I also think they ought to accelerate the catch up mechanic to minimize power creep, given that from what I can tell, the majority of the player base still seems to be below cap. A minor increase in CP would be enough to allow players who are above to unlock a few more useful passives without gaining massive advantages in either PvE or PvP.

    alot of the terrible players I see turns out to he 400-501+ cp. The power gap is there because players refuse to learn moves, work on their build, their rotations. this is where that power comes fro,. nearly everyone in the game now can already drop 100 cp into might, all that's left now are sustain options we could use for the revamped trials and dungeons.

    Not everyone has to be a powerful build to enjoy the game. I support their choices not to. However it is their fault of inaction alone should they feel left behind when they're too weak for new content when all the current skills/methods are already available for them. And yet still, it will never be too late for them to get some guild ti[s/rotation practice, So what difference would it make?

    tl;dr

    sure seasoned players can make use of this immediately, but bad players with 900cp will still be bad players. Let them play their way and not drag down everyone else.

    Tools to become a strong player are ALREADY in the game, they are ALREADY refusing ro use them. Increase the cap and let the players decide how to use them, Let us make the choice for ourselves, rather than let others make that choice for us.

    people complaining about OP players have the option to be equally as compeative in pvp/pve. Just because they hoose not to shouldnt mean everyone has to spend an hour in spindleclutch .

    I'd say between 20-50 should be more than enough.

    reason I don't say more is because the first 1000 CP is huge when it comes to gaps in PVP. There is a big difference between a 0 cp and 300 cp and then again between a 300 and 501. Making it 700+ will make the gap even bigger for those 300 or less. Increments of 20-50 each xpac is small enough that the cp gap doesn't get out of control and still give reason to add in more tiers to gear.

    I know it would be a balancing nightmare but I would allow it to go beyond 999 to about 1200. alls they would have to do is cap how many you can earn a day at 6 CP per day or something. 2 for each tree.

    This is why I think this: Waiting for ZoS is a pain in the backside, waiting for them to raise the cap is so go damned boring that its actually made many people I know leave because they have nothing to do. Sure they could keep earning but they cant use them and they've completed end game multiple times so they get bored and leave.

    Frankly the only problem would be in PvP. Just use the campaign that was called "non-vet" and split up the high end CP players from the low end CP players. Of course it would still be the players choice which to join. But after 600 cp those players would not be able to join the low end CP campaign as they hit the threshold of 600 and can only join the high end CP campaign.

    Another reason for the raise in cap is that ZoS are messing around with CP trees a lot moving different passives into stupid places, forcing people to put more CP in to one tree which is annoying as it messes up peoples builds. For that reason I would raise the cap that high because if they want to move the passives around? Fine. Then gives us more points to mitigate cringe worthy decision making.

    As a middle ground I would be happy with 750 too.

    Raise the cap to 1002 and give everyone below the 1002 a cool 501 CP.
    In 3 months after the 1002 cap give everyone below the 1002 CP that 1002 CP and raise the cap to 1503.
    In 3 months after the 1503 cap give everyone below the 1503 CP that 1503 CP and raise the cap to 2004.
    In 3 months after the 2004 cap give everyone below the 2004 CP the 2004 CP and raise the cap to 2505.
    In 3 months after the 2505 cap give everyone below the 2505 CP the 2505 CP and raise the cap to 3006.
    In 3 months after the 3006 cap give everyone below the 3006 CP the 3006 CP and raise the cap to 3507 CP.

    Kick in enlightment for anyone below the cap.

    This way Mr/Mrs. Hardcore can always earn something so progression isn't stunted. While Mr/Mrs. Casual is never below 501 CP from Mr/Mrs.Hardcore more than 3 months.

    Win/Win, however balancing content and making it tuned properly is another story.

    No reason to raise an arbitrary cap. Just make a new level of gear, and new content. If the cap keeps going up, no one new will want to ever play the game. I only recently hit 160, and 700+ makes me not want to even think about the disparity in PvP.

    I think if they are going to begin doing quarterly increases, 51 per quarter is enough.

    Or maybe 249 for the first raise to 750 but then reduce to 51 per quarter.

    249 a quarter would be far far far too much, so I voted for the 51 now assuming ongoing 51 quarterly increases.

    Or maybe the cap should be reduced to 351 (my CP) and then increase by like, 5 or 6 a week? I think I'm earning about that at the moment. But then if I stop playing for a period, the cap stops increasing.

    I think that solution is probably the fairest.
