It's just been announced at E3! You shouldn't be expecting One Tamriel until next year.

Next update in the third quarter is the barber's shop and a couple of dungeons, then in the fourth quarter we get One Tamriel followed early next year by housing. That's my understanding.

No mention of it because it won't be coming with update 11... That's the Q3 update. One Tamriel won't be coming that soon.

Update 11 (the DLC they just announced) is coming in August. One Tamriel, on the other hand, is coming out some time this fall. One Tamriel is separate from the DLC, which is why they wouldn't mention it. Besides, with something as undoubtedly huge an undertaking as One Tamriel would be, it wouldn't surprise me if it was delayed to very late fall/very early winter, due to the complexity of getting it even mostly working right (because let's be honest: this feature is going to have a lot of bugs in it. It's inevitable with a change that large).

Hopefully ZOS will change their mind and "One Tamriel" won't go live.
One Tamriel is a bad idea with all due respect.
Battle leveling in all of Tamriel and no alliance restrictions(except Cyrodiil) ?
    Total chaos.

    This.

I want to add that now that they have started talking about Update 11, there will probably be zero information about One Tamriel until a few weeks after Update 11 ships on consoles. They only talk about one thing at a time.

I know as much/little as the next guy/gal around here, but I don't expect to see anything related to One Tamriel until at least Q1 of 2017. Any sooner seems drastically unrealistic to me, and logic suggests that One Tamriel and player housing might go hand-in-hand in terms of implementation.

For housing, I expect them to force players to live by people from other factions so they get used to each other and no longer want to fight. They'll declare a winner for the Alliance War and remove PvP from the game.

No, I'd say that they'd want to have One Tamriel out before housing, just so they have the system in place to allow someone to have a home anywhere they like. It'll be out before Q1.

That being said, if the Zenimax devs are anything like the coders and engineers I know through a friend of mine (who are working on things that aren't anywhere near as complex as an MMO), they probably have One Tamriel scheduled for release in September. If they get it out by November, they'll consider it acceptable, but barely. If they get it out by early October, they'll high five each other for being on time. And if they get it out by September, they'll wonder what they may have missed, and be doing a lot of coffee drinking and cigarette smoking while they wait to see if anything raises its ugly head to bite them, all while praying they actually managed to do it properly with no hidden problems in the code so all their worrying will be for nothing.

I respectfully disagree. I'm not certain your experience with other coders and engineers is in any way indicative of how ZOS's teams will pursue the goal. MMOs are not easily benchmarked against other genres, for a multitude of reasons, but this is more true for ESO even when compared to other MMOs, considering how unique it is.

As it stands right now, anyone can have a house anywhere they want already. The only variable in question is whether or not sub-50 characters will afford this luxury without One Tamriel. In that respect, I can agree with you. But there are other factors for consideration on this topic, such as whether or not housing is available from level 1. Will ZOS deem is appropriate to offer housing to a player who has not experienced any of the lore? Will it be allowed for those upon getting at least one character to 50? Will we buy it with crowns, or with in-game currency? Among other factors, these all directly impact both the timing and the underlying design of the One Tamriel system.

Despite this concept, however, I still consider it very unlikely that something which has been publicly known for only a week will take precedence over something that's been in the design process for over a year already. No matter which comes first, they will both have a drastic impact on each other, according to me. It is from this logic that stems the idea that they may come together.

But as I said, I know as much as the next guy/gal on this topic. It's all purely speculation at this point, and highly subjective.

And I didn't say they officially announced that to be the case, either. That was what was expected by us, the players, for quite some time leading up to the official announcement that it would not be this year.

I really don't care to go back and look for it. The point is still true. Take spellcrafting as another example. There are a multitude of things they aspire(d) to do that have yet to come to fruition or were scrapped altogether.

OK, so you just completely made it up. Got it.

Why exactly are you so salty? Is it really hard to accept the idea that players anticipated it to be this Fall? That was the speculation. You act as if I'm literally pulling ETAs out of my ass and passing them as official. This is completely beside the point.... which is that ETAs change.

I know of many people who thought it would be this Fall. We were wrong. And One Tamriel can still be pushed back (which is hopefully not the case).

Honestly, at this point you're just nitpicking and trying to derail a point with irrelevant information. The day that ZOS sticks to all of their ETAs is the day I will stop speculating it could get pushed back.
