Stamina DK Armour Opinions

Morning,
I'd like to get people's opinion on my stamina Redguard DK. When I first started I assumed heavy armour would be the best but now I'm toying with the idea of having medium armour. I like to use sword and board for single enemy/buffs and two handed for groups. My attribute points are generally 1:2 health and stamina. I've been doing OK as far as soloing and I'm thinking because the two handed is pretty slow it's probably best to stick with heavy but what are people's opinions? Have you traded one type of armour for another and seen any benefit?
