Is ESO more popular on PC or Console?

Dunno how to get these statistics. Anyone know off hand which has more players? I have the PS4 and PC versions of the game but I'm not sure which one I wanna get the DLCs on. I'm only gonna pick one.

I don't know about popularity but on PC NA populations is quite active and it seems less bugged than consoles these days.

I currently play on Xbox 1 and I'm of two minds on that. Having played EQ on pc I miss all the wonderful add ons and UI adjustments you can make on pc. But also, having played pc i don't miss the constant twitching and adjusting my computer every time a patch/dlc comes out. I just plug and play now. And so far, no 3rd party cheats.

What twitching and adjusting computer are you talking about ? I did set up my hotkeys and graphic settings when I installed the game and that's it. Now when I want to play I click on the play button.

I think by sheer numbers there's more players on console, but its less of a hassle on PC. Certain things go a long way depending on whether or not you care about those things.

1. Text Chat
2. Keyboard & Mouse, has controller support
3. Addon support available
4. PvP: Console limited by static hardware, PC where ever your money takes you!

it is true that fewer people are capable/care enough to make any kind of cheats for console
however, for a popular game like ESO I doubt the claim that there are no cheats on console

Building a new P.C next month I build a completely new one every 4-5 years and just upgrade the vid card in between, looking forward to having grass and such in the game haha.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe thatPS4 has more pvp campaigns. That could inform our best guess at the numbers.

Although the campaign pop caps could be lower on PS4 for all we know. Or there could be more pvp'ers and less pve'ers on console compared to the PC version...

I would say PC has the more hardcore players and console has the more casual.

That's not a PC vs console dig but generally from my time on these forums the big names and posted in the hardcore gaming levels have all been PC and console players being more casual.

As to which is more popular only ZOS will know.

I think when Tamriel One launches, it wouldn't really matter whom has the bigger population.

On PS4, as far as I'm concerned, it seems very healthy on the E.P side. Knowing that all 3 factions will soon play together means Tamriel will probably be much more populated than you're used to seeing.

PC, most MMO gamers need a mouse and a keyboard and the option for helpful addons as well.
Personally I only can play on my pace when I have a keyboard and a mouse.

Playing on PC. If I could pay for a character transfer, I would probably switch to Xbox1 in an instant. I just didn't have one when the transfer windows closed.

Op was asking which is most popular, not which group needs the biggest Epeen.

PC has better graphics, no one can disputes that, that does not make it more popular. The amount of players does that.

Currently both consoles have more combined players than PC, but no one knows the individual splits.

PC definitely has the most elitist brattish players. Console has more casual nice players.

Though I suspect with the advent of text speak, console may approach the same levels of toxicity that PC has now.
