Launcher and 64bit game client

I did not see any patch notes on this, but the Launcher updated.

I notice that the options now include "Run 64bit Game Client" and it is default to ON.

Is this new with this patch, or did I miss it in a previous patch?

    It's new, yes. And the 64-bit client is in pretty great condition nowadays. Audio problems have been fixed, the Pepto Bismol-themed mounts are gone, framerates are up and 64-bit seems to crash far, far less than 32-bit (which is a crash nightmare).

    I still cannot run the 64-bit client. Must be my computer but I'll be damned if I can figure out what is wrong. I'm guessing the graphic drivers (nvidia) but if there is a 'good' version for an 880M card I'm unaware of it.

    Buuuut. Is the 64-bit client multi-threaded now? I noticed with the 32-bit client all 4 cores work at around 70-80%. with the 64-bit, when I last used it, the cores were utilized like it always was. 1 core at ~98%, 1 core at around 25% and 2 cores seemingly idle.

    Thanks for pointing this out. I was unable to log in after patching (crashing immediately upon log in), but once I read your post, I disabled the 64bit client and was able to log in again.

    It's new in the Launcher today.

    If you're having trouble with the 64 bit client, and you should be able to run it, check out this thread: 64bit FPS issue SOLVED!!! NVIDIA Laptops

    Turns out my "wonderful" 11 fps was because the game was attempting to run on High settings using the Integrated Graphics chip instead of my proper video card :open_mouth: . I'm actually quite surprised it managed fps above the single digits, considering that!
