Hey :)
is there a way to play music together in a synchronous way? Like one player plays the lute, the other the flute together the same song?

Never managed to do it before.

But, as I mentioned in the past, we need PLAYABLE instruments.

    P L A Y A B L E
    L
    A
    Y
    A
    B
    L
    E

Thanks, ZOS, will buy for 4000 crowns!

That was something cool they had in LOTRO if I remember correctly. Playable instruments.

Unfortunately, like the weather (which causes my husband and I sitting side by side on our gaming rigs to see rain on his screen and sunshine on mine when our characters are standing right next to each other) the music is all handled client side. This means the song YOU hear your character playing is not the same song other players are hearing more often than not. Therefore it will always be impossible to get one character playing a song on the lute and another playing the same song on the flute for instance. Because what YOU are experiencing is NOT what others are experiencing. Your experience of "reality" in the game world is not reliable alas. It is the same for the bard NPCs playing music in the inns and taverns. The song you are hearing is likely NOT the same song other people in the same room are hearing.

While ZOS undoubtedly did these things to save themselves some server resources it is a quality of life issue for players that many of us find extremely annoying.

I expect ZOS to implement something like this instead of trying to fix the game.

Now i understand... My friend said yesterday we were playing the same song but for me it was two different songs. same with the weather, i had discussions some other time caus a player made a comment about the weather and for me it was something else. i think it is annoying, caus we are not playing each the same singleplayergame, but imo in a MMO the experiences must be the same when we are in the same location.

Playing music synchro, also dancing together, should work like a synergy, we would just press X

It's not the most important thing in the game, but I'd like to see many little improvements with emotes.

Edit: And about "one plays drum, another the lute synchro", maybe if i type /lute in a certain radius around someone already playing drum, it just begins synchro. Now the music emotes we have aren't designed for that, but they could be. I dont see it happening, but it would be nice

edit: ah now i know: the option to edit (gearwheel) is in the title
