Question about DB skill line

Can it only go up by doing those repetitive quests or will killing random people with the blade of woe hurry the process? It's feeling a bit tedious trying to get to the next stages of the main quest :/

It seems a bit silly if it's the only way to level up the skill line :/ I don't think I have the patience to spend hours on repetitive quests just to do the main story. It takes me out of the mood too! Damn...

Think about how many Lore books you need to find to progress in the Mages Guild... Or dolmens for the FG.
    A lot!
Honestly, you don't have to do that many DB jobs to rank up. (5 or 6 per rank? Something like that.)
It just seems more tedious because you're likely doing them all at once, instead of spread over a long period of time like the other guilds.

If you don't like "repetitive kill quests" than maybe the Dark Brotherhood is not the guild for you. ;)

Also, the daily Sacraments earn you more rank experience, so they help.

I wouldn't mind if I could grab more than one contract at a time  lag + loading screens × contracts = headache.

I just wish there were different tiers of contracts available, with different amounts of effort for different rewards. Right now, besides the story quests, there is just the killing contract, and the daily sacrament - though you can do as many contracts as you like, one after another, it does get somewhat tenious...

On the other hand, as mentioned... it only seems like its tenious because we want it all right now. If I did one contract per day through the course of a basic character playthrough... it'd go all smoothly en passant...

Fighter's Guild skill line is the easiest. The line doesn't increase only by dolmens but by killing daedras and undead.
