So I hit /feedback and these are my options for "submit Feedback"
  • Crash/Blocks Progress
  • Exploit
  • Impairs Functionality
  • Delays Progress
  • Cosmetic
  • Pleasant Surprise
  • That's Awesome!

I have constructive negative feedback to give so where do I give it in game?
:Update:
Apparently there is no place to give negative feedback, so why isn't there?

basically pick one of those options then type in the feedback you want to give. If the choices are not applicable to your feedback you have to pick the closest one but simply type in the feedback you wish to give

impairs functionality covers a wide base if it doesn't cover crashes bugs or exploits thats the one I use.

Indeed. This is like those schools that don't believe in tests or grades.

I was gonna tell you just to go ahead and post it where everybody else gives negative feedback, the General Discussion forum. But then I saw you actually said "contructive."

Based on their categories it gives the impression that they don't care what you think unless you agree with them. This seems in accordance with what we experience on the forums, like AOE caps, and Poisons.

No go back and read my post.

I have submitted plenty of constructive negative feedback under the header I told you. I have gotten responses, questions for clarification, not every time but it does happen.

Seems your post is more about making a point than an actual question.

It's both, a point and I have constructive feedback to give. I was actually in the process of giving that feedback when I noticed there is no category for it. I'm not going to cut out a large portion of my time to give constructive negative feedback only to have it mismanaged in the wrong category. Categories are there for a reason.

The categories are Guidelines loose ones at that.I have been playing this game since beta. Trust me they want to hear it especially if it's more than

I just sent quite a long feedback on crafting mats that are required, the catagory isn't that big of a deal.

I have also played since beta. If they were truly interested in this there would be a category for it. Makes sense right? There are people hired to answer what is submitted there and they may do that appropriately, but the categories and system themselves come from above the people that answer them. The guy that responds to you is not the guy that matters, it only matters if it's given to the right people. I have submitted stuff from feedback that they clearly did not even read through based on their response. I had to basically repeat my whole message before an actual human being considered the feedback.

Remember back when opposing factions were able to enter alliance starting bases. People reported getting ganked through the feedback system and the guys that responded said it's a PvP zone and you need to ready for that at all times. I do not feel comfortable leaving it up to them to properly place a miscategorized comment.

So basically you are a ling time player who started a thread to complain in the guise of asking a honest question. Would not a thread asking for them to expand their categories be less duplicitous?

Anyway now that we know what this is actually about I agree they should have expanded categories. Thats Help suggestion you can PM a ZoS admin about

Like I said it's a legitimate question. I only discovered the categorical lack because I had legitimate feedback. I posed it as a question in case I was missing something. After seeing the responses it's clear that there is no section, so yeah I am drawing conclusions from that because it is a big issue and should be brought into light. I could start a whole nother thread but you are the only one that seems upset on the topic changing, so I'll update the OP to alleviate your concerns.

Several things. If you've been here since Beta, you know the two positive categories are recent additions. It's part of them streamlining the feed back system, but for the most part negative/problem feedback was mostly it.

Just because you personally don't get the response you think you deserve, doesn't mean they don't look at this feed back. Stuff like One Tamriel is probably based on a lot of negative feedback about not being able to see others in other factions when you go there and being able to run content with a friend bringing in a new character.

They did address the Alliance base problem, despite what one support person said. In fact, it's taken them several tries to find a solution. If they have a problem it's lacking good communication, not that they ignore constructive feedback. We know they do address it, we don't know why it takes so long for some things but others are real quick.

We know they do address it, we don't know why it takes so long for some things but others are real quick.

The only reason that alliance issue was adddessed was because people circumveted the feedback system and posted picks and video of it being done on the forums which brought attention from high level employees. Had it been left to the guys at /feedback it would have continued for longer. Someone actually had to show the / feedback response on the forums to get people and even the administration to stop responding by saying use /feedback. ZOS had to come out and say /feedback was wrong, this is not intended. Which should have been obvious to the responders as it was obvious to anyone who plays this game.

I know they don't look at all the feedback because I have gotten responses from them that tell me they clearly didn't read what I wrote. I don't mean they misunderstood it I mean they clearly didn't read it at all. Their response was auto generated based on certain words. I only got a human once I replied to the reply. It has all the appearance of a third party outside of the game.

You say that they lack good communication, well that is an essential component of giving feedback. Without good communication feedback is largely worthless. Here they don't even have a right category for it. If they want negative feedback they should have a category for it. People shouldn't defend poor communication or a incomplete system by submitting to it like its a working system. They should be asking for it to be changed.

Any feedback that isn`t sunshine and rainbows goes in /dev/null. Or, we could all start using the "that`s awesome" category.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".
