Hello all,

I just wanted to ask a off topic question regarding the possibility of virisus. My brother is coming over and is going to bring his labtop over here and I am unsure of the contents that he has downloaded on his labtop. I know once he destroyed his computer by downloading something and was required to buy a new one. With my paronia I am sort of worried and I have no say in what he has to do as my father wants him to have something to do. I wanted to know if it was possible for computers to possibly contact viruses if both use of the same router and what the chances of that happening. This is the computer I use to game and also to do class work and am worried that it can become a victim to viruses.

    ....Labtop.

    #Edit.
Ah.. no.. no, he'd have to actually use your computer or you'd need to do something stupid as well.
If the hacker behind the virus thing were this dedicated, he'd have your account info already, so no worries

Yes, it is possible if your computer has a network share that allows access without a password.

If you go to "Network" in explorer and click on the icon of your own computer, it will show you every resource and folder that you're currently sharing.
