Squires

The night starts to close in and the heavens open. Rain dances off of my sheath and face. I look for someplace to set up camp before it's too dark and wet...just one problem...I have no camping supplies! Normally this would fall to a squire. Some helpful hand that follows you around lugging everything you can't. After all, you need to be prepared for ambushes and boss fights.

So! I was wondering if (for RP purposes) Squires could be considered. I'm thinking, like assistants or 'pets', we can have a follower. Nobody we can interact with as such but just someone we can have next to us during our adventures through Tamriel.

But you're not a knight, you were just some shmoe who got picked up off the streets, sacrificed, got your soul stolen, then dumped off in a prison in another dimension that you somehow escaped.

I would love a Squire if they would do this: (You know it was going to be posted sooner or later)

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Nope not a knight. Just ESO's Rambo.

I would love this especially if he/she was like Vilja from skyrim mod and had dynamic personality Idle conversation based on many factors and even comments on changing quest stages vampirism and lycanthropy.

And what would they be for? Just to accompany you around?
I'd keep putting him away and getting him back out when I was done fighting.Otherwise,Id keep looking back to see if he was caught up with me,or had survived the fight.
This is why I dont sue pets. They distract me.Except for my little Sylvan Nixad Peanut. She flies,so I dont feel the need to worry about her.

Vilja was awesome though, she wasn't just some squire but your friend throughout the entire game. I loved that mod, it was done really well.

I love this idea. We have all kinds of weird pets, and we have a banker. The banker/merchants feel a lot like squires though.

This is actually why I haven't purchased either of these two yet. I'm waiting to see what other alternatives they offer. I definitely wanted something more squire-like. It'd also be nicer if they actually talked, like in Skyrim.

He can follow you around and tell you how awesome you are, but to dismiss him, you have to hit him with a knock back attack off of a cliff

I thought dismissing him with a knock back attack off a cliff was cool. Then you can summon him and do it again. I just think it's funny as hell to knock people off of cliffs. I get excited when the opportunity arises.

I could do without the followers, as I don't feel like attracting attention to myself.. But a camp that could be put out would be awesome for RP purposes.. we've all seen the fold out lean-to from looting.. give us that with a few logs to sit on, and a fire.. That would be sweet as hell

I know people got their kicks in a lot of strange ways in Oblivion (also Skyrim and Morrowind tbh), but I always preferred rolling hundreds of cabbages down a hill :D
