Using the map causes my Audio to cut out (Turtle Beach Headset)

FlapjacksNsyrup
I've narrowed down the problem. At first I thought it was random or a fluke. Now I notice that every time I use the in-game map and start moving the cursor around or zooming in/out, my audio cuts out or sometimes stutters and then bugs out leaving only a constant buzzing sound.

While I don't know if it matters, this started happening while I was in Riften.

My headset is a Turtle Beach headset designed for use with the Xbox One. I'm using a Microsoft Xbox One controller with a wired connection. This has never happened prior to the Dark Brotherhood update.

Hi @FlapjacksNsyrup Do you experience this issue when you do not use these headphones?

I have had similar audio problems but haven't tested the map issue. Mine are Turtle Beach as well

Same problem with my turtle beaches when I load into zones

I've also noticed that when I change zones my turtle beach headset sometimes cuts out audio. It doesn't happen when headphones aren't plugged in so I think this is a turtle beach only issue? Mines a X04 headset. It's also affecting game chat channels as well as party chat, if I change zones with my character and I have the party chat selected it will disconnect audio to the headset from party as well as the background audio. Unplugging the adapter and plugging it back in can reconnect the audio but it's happening too frequently to be useful. Hope this extra info helps @ZOS_CaseyCoffman

Now that I think about it I have the same issue with my turtle beach audio cutting out. A brand new headset I purchased for xbox one about a month ago, I didn't put two and two together but this seems to be what is happening to me. I would have to pay attention next time where I am and what I'm doing if it ever cuts out again. But my audio had definitely been going in and out after DB update.

I've not narrowed the issue down yet myself but will have a look to see if its a map issue but it's deffo not just a turtle beach issue. I'm using Samsung ear buds and the audio is cutting out (game audio and voice chat) unplugging and plugging them back in fixes the issue (never had the issue before DB).

Hi @FlapjacksNsyrup Do you experience this issue when you do not use these headphones?

I have not tested this since I play on a monitor with no built in speakers. However, the problem seems to have stopped for now. It only began since the Dark Brotherhood update. I believe it may have had something to do with the servers running slow due to an increase in players. I know the game was lagging for many people and many other problems arose as well.

@Drearvoyage brought up another good point; it affects party chat as well. The game volume and party chat both glitch out at the same time.

Unplugging my headset from the aux port on my controller and plugging it back in seems to fix the problem until it occurs again. However, like I said, it doesn't seem to be happening now that the huge influx of players has somewhat subsided.

I'll submit some sort of ticket if the problem persists.

@ZOS_CaseyCoffman One more thing to add, the problem also seemed linked to quest markers/progression. I noticed there was a much higher chance the audio would glitch out if I had just completed a quest objective or if I moved the map enough that it had to switch where a quest marker was pointing.
