Not quite how this was intended. The idea is that you work around your racial specific advantages or mainly disadvantages ;) Granted some racials seem not very useful or balanced... But if you MUST dabble in cookie cutter stuff, then play a Nord a Dunmer or an Orc...

No. All races with the same initial start but with the choice of skill lines... which are the same between the races. That is homogenization.

^ so a dk tank with sorc pet, temp heals and nb dots...
if you make a game with classes you stick to it. otherwise there is no point to make classes in the first place
the game as well over 500 skill points. so they would need to nerf the skill points as well to avoid OPness.
and that would mean more people quitting the game becauase of the time invested
they would also need to nerf the class skills to avoid god like builds
    another nail in the coffin.
and they woudl have to give in to the big spenders because its not easy enough
    more peopel quitting the game
imho eso should close before they release graveyard one : tamriel terminated.
and with the new "dlc" for skyrim coming soon and the cheap spin off of magic the gathering Bethesda and zenimax should be dead pre 2017

Hypocrite is say in a MMO where all combinations are possible and the ideology is "build your char as you want", all argonians should be the same for example.

I believe all races can be good in different things.

Like humans in real life we are all differents, more or less strong, more or less intelligent.

Im not saying that pick all passives should be possible, only a determined number of skill points.

For example all Altmer could be different, not everybody would have the same passives and focus in magicka, maybe some would be no so efficient in that, because maybe they took some max health passive.

Also my idea would break barriers, like for example a magicka dps sorcerer argonian... Some people would think you are not so efficient like an Altmer.

I have an Argonian stam NB and an Argonian Magicka sorc (who is currently a vamp, but I'm rethinking that). I have friends who have Argonian Templars. So having the same racial passives doesn't make "All Argonians the same" any more than it makes any other race the same.

You can be an effective player in this game without min/maxing on race. I'd never play an altmer, no matter how good they are at magicka. And Bretons are boring IMO, so they can also keep their racial passives, I don't want them.

That said, I have friends who do play Altmer and Bretons and enjoy them. I really don't see why you think each race having unique passives is a bad thing.

I am really happy that you are not part of the developer team.

No. Please, just no. Race selection should matter, and each race should feel as if they have unique strengths and weaknesses.

Making race selection sheerly a cosmetic choice is one of the worst design decisions a game can make in my opinion.

Racial passives is the worst typical idea ever.

They conditionate races and players choices.

My suggestions is to create a list of all current useful passives and the same is which race i start to play, i can choose where i want to spend my skill points.

    Is easy like that.

    ok so lets see
i'll take an argo templar tank for the bad ass look

-12% more hp stam from imperial race
    - 9% more Healing reaceived from argonian
    - 6% less damage received from robust nord
    - and adrenaline rush from redguard
    - team up with puncturing sweep stam morph to get infinite heal

god tank and a titanium wall on 2 feet

Racial bonuses are a big part of Elder Scrolls games, so I don't see them taking them away. However, I think they could change them from multiplicative bonuses to flat values based on level. So instead of one race having +10% max magicka, they would have maybe +1000 max magicka at CP160.

This way there would still be a min/max "best race" for a particular build, but it would be less drastic than it is currently and would be more balanced overall.

That actually works (for the stats at least). How about stuff like "healing received" though?

Ugh. Another person trying to make everything the same. Just no. People make choices. Choices have consequences. Simple as that.

And if you don't like those choices you'll soon be able to change them for a small fee in Crowns.

While you are at it zos, let all classes have NB stealth and Sorc pets. I mean, why should I make any decision whatsoever when creating my character?

Im talkig about choose different passives while progressing, not mix all the skill of the classes, you miss understood the complete concept of the post, but anyways thanks for participate.

No, I got the point, you are confused. You want to give all races access to the same racial abilities, which is pretty much the exact same thing as giving all classes access to all class abilities.
