vMA dual wield weapons are a joke because...

... every single respectable stamina PVE build is centered around them.

Literally nothing else is viable for end-game trial DPS if you are not using dual-wield dagger+axe from vMA.

They are way too strong even if you are using simple bow/dw dots, not even talking about stam DK dots.

I understand that this is makes stamina dps viable now, but come on, that's just hilarious that the only way to excel at competitive DPS is to use the SAME build with all stamina classes, dual wield for flurry+dot + bow for dots.

Wtf are you thinking with that insane weapon damage increase on next dot? Maybe leave some room for craftable or trial weapons too if you nerfed alliance weapons to oblivion.

I REFUSE to play dot-based character, you nerfed my direct-damage stambuild's only source of competitive DPS and forcing me and everyone else to use the exact same builds!

COME ON!

You ever play the build in question? I rolled a stam DK this patch. I think if I totally nail the rotation, it will pull 3-5% more DPS than my magic DK. That being said, it is one of the toughest builds to play. You are close melee range (makes whip feel like you are miles away), you have no mitigation, provide no group utility, it is as glass cannon as you can get. The rotation is very unforgiving, and if you mess up at all, your DPS is mediocre at best. Yes these weapons are powerful, but this type of build comes at a pretty high price.

I think were your argument losses me is that you say this is the only way to be competitive. That very well might be true, but name one class combo where that isnt the case. All end game builds are pingeonholed. Trying being competitive as a magic character without running a VMA Staff. On almost any build, someone has come up with the best way to play. If you deviate from that, you will pull less DPS. It is not surprising that any end game build revolves around the best weapons in the game.

Now if you want to talk about the annoying grind fest that is VMA, I am happy to trash talk it with the best of them.
