Quest phasing

Can I get an official answer from ZOS about this? It won't do much good to let me bring my old EP VR16 Templar to adventure with my friends that have AD characters if we can't set the quest phase to the leader. Otherwise, a very large portion of the map will be finished for me and not for them, so we will be unable to see one another. They'll enter a town under attack and fight enemies while I stroll around a safe town that is being rebuilt. Will ZOS be implementing quest phase synchronization so this new One Tamriel feature will actually mean anything? I've asked multiple times in multiple threads without getting any official answer.

There isn't an official answer yet, because all we know is what was stated when this news was released. We don't have any features, only speculation.

My hope is that they will address this phasing issue. Unfortunately we will have to wait for more detailed information from ZOS to know for sure.

I just hope they realize that without this feature, the whole "play together" bit will not work for the majority of the questing content, even with players in the same alliance. I'd often have to meet friends in the wilderness for us to actually see each other, and we'd disappear when we got too close to content where we were at different phases. I'd really like for them to at least acknowledge this and say if they are working on it or not.

I am in a guild that is interested in coming back to the game. They mainly quest together, with some PvP thrown in. Their MAIN complaint is phase questing. John would have to use Character A with Joe and Diane and only use that character when running with them to avoid getting out of phase. They'd have to use Character B with Frank and Tim. This is just too big a pain to count on exactly when people can get online with specific characters, and what do you do when someone can't make one of the times? If they made quests phase to group leader, it would eliminate the entire problem and my guild mates would return. Please ZOS, let us at least know if this is possible and being worked on. I'll probably have to ask over and over for a month or two.

It is amazing to me that this is still an issue. Just goes to show that many years later ZOS is still trying to fix the game by basically redesigning over all the mistakes they made in the initial design. Amazing.

At least they are working on it. That's why I have hope they will fix the big issue with people who want to quest together.

Well not so sure this helps, but @ZOS_KaiSchober mentioned that the aim for one tamriel is solving the problem of "outleveling" Mobs and content. This is the main reason for scaled content (scaled like f.eg. Orsinium) in one tamriel.

However, how, if at all, this is going to affect phasing wasn't mentioned, yet.

This makes it so my maxed out character can run with a friend's level 10 character, but that doesn't help if we can't see each other because of quest phasing. I would think they know that and planned for it, as it isn't much of a sales pitch if you still can't work together. They just haven't put out any official word,.

Agreed. I didn't mean to imply anything negative other than my amazement at how ZOS is slowly remaking the game.

The lack of an answer from the community reps after being addressed directly is not a good sign.

Or, it means they're too busy right now to find out considering they have a lot of E3 stuff to do :stuck_out_tongue:
I agree though, it would be a very good thing to have. But we've been asking for it since launch, and it hasn't happened yet.
