Volenfell boss, Quintus Verres unkillable

No, not mechanically. He has come down with "guard syndrome", and the prognosis is not good. I was soloing Volenfell on PC NA (in case this matters) and "killed" him (aka brough him to where he summons the gargoyle). Problem was, he was still up.

Killed the gargoyle, despite it being stuck on the ledge above us, while under fire from the boss. Gargoyle dropped, but Quintus was still rocking at 0/1,495,000 ish health.

Tried again after a reset (let him deaggro). [LUA] Quintus Verres (158.8s) - 1,503,293 Total Damage (9589.8 DPS). Still alive. He only has 1.49M health, fyi.

Dungeon breaking bug, ZoS.

    It was in the patch notes from earlier today that a fix was put in to stop him dying before calling down the gargoyle (which I have had myself), maybe that 'fix' has gone pear shape.
    Australian on PS4 NA server.

    Same happened here. Soloing Volenfell and he is Guard-Level unkillable. Better yet, I went past him and ended up locked in a room behind an inescapable door.

    Fun times.

    Heard about this today, if you kill him before the Gargoyle drops on him it glitches out. Ive never had it happen to me but Vollenfell was daily today on PS4 and guys I was running with told me about it. Hopefully they patch it.

    I actually wouldn't mind it if it weren't the silver pledge today. Last silver chest I opened, I got medium divine Kena shoulders blue and nearly capped out a brick.

    still alive, but no Gargoyle appeared.

    now here is the funnest part.
    He then chased us out the dungeon door ( one leading outa the dungeon)
    and before i could get a screen shot, he killed me.
    I couldn't stop laughing

    I'm a bit surprised at the recent thread necromancy by high-star people... I get 1 of them was just responding now since he could not before but come now Andy...

    As for a way around it, don't damage him too fast. I had it happen to me once too because I did too much DPS.
