Expert Summoner Passive work with Bound Armor?

Does having Bound Armor equipped give the 8% max health bonus from the passive Expert Summoner? Or do I have to have a pet active?

Transairion✭✭✭✭✭It requires a Daedric Summoning pet active to boost health (I think active, not just slotted); you can't just use any old Daedric Summoning skilline skill like Ward, Curse or Bound Armor to get it.
Can be tested by just using Bound Armor then checking your health value, compared to summoning a pet then checking health value.0
