Bug with Vampirism Stage Timer?

So logged in today, had 4 hours of Stage 1 Vampire. Played for I would say..6? [During which I refreshed back to a 6 hour timer on Stage 1]. I finish a quest and notices my players skin is really pale, like Stage 3. Look at my Char Sheet and I have 3 hours of Stage 3 Vampire....Now even if the refresh didn't take. No way I played 12 hours of gameplay in 6 hours...is something broke?

Did you use vamp abilities? Each one except feeding synergy takes a considerable chunk of time off the timer, so if you use them a lot, you blast through stages.

Basically its not a bug they changed the way vampirism works. Stages last longer but if you use vampire abilties it takes off thirty minutes, off the stage timer. So basically you have a limited amount of uses before it changes to the next stage. So you could get up to stage four quicky if you use vampire abilties alot. I do think they need to add a passive which would allow it to not go down as fast maybe five minutes off each use. Also they need to add blood potions!

They changed the way the passives work too so now you are better off being stage 3 or 4 since the passives no longer work at stage 1.

Essence Drain, Mistform and Batswarm each deduct 30 minutes from your current stage timer. If you're sitting there spamming mistform you can go from fully fed Stage 1 with six hours on the timer to Stage 4 in about five minutes.

It's by design. Honestly, I prefer it this way. If you want to turn off vampirism, you can feed to Stage 1 and remove your vampirism abilities, and you, effectively, won't be one for the next six hours (though you'll still take more damage from FG abilities).
