How is Stam Sorc Now?

I'm on PS4, so I have no idea how badly the surge change nerfed them. Anyone know if they are still playable, or what they are like now?

Well Hurricane is kinda cool and dawnbreaker is nice to have. Crit surge is probably not worth a slot

Stam Sorcs are honestly fine in PvP when DB arrives.

Don't use Surge though. Usually not worth the slot imo for PvP. Of course, it does depend on your build.

Without critical surge, what exactly are stam sorc slotting that are sorc skills? Hurricane and sometime bound armaments (if you like only playing with 8 slots)?

Negate Magic, Overload, Bolt Escape, Dark Deal, Rune Prison, *Hurricane.... All of these skills can be used well on Stam Sorc.

Bound Armaments and Surge don't really have a place in PvP, but possibly in PvE.

Surge may be useful if paired with Caltrops+Volley with 50%+ Crit to proc the heal every second. Using Vigor, along with either Rally(2H) or Healing Flurry morph+Healing Twin Slashes morph (Dual Wield), were talking a big HoT and Surge slightly adds to this (but not nearly as much as Major Mending).

EDIT: Surge is GREAT for a Hybrid Sorc without Pelinal's Aptitude though, encompassing exactly 0.00000001% of Sorcs!
