Question about Poisons...

As a magicka user I always needed to have two swords on my back bar to have a boost during execution phase. Because my exceutions, as Sorcerer (but I believe everyone's too) are ranged (Mages' Wrath) it always have been of no use to add glyphs to the swords, at least it's what I think, otherwise I would add the new and improved Glyphs of Weapon/Spell Damage (that would be a nice extra confirmation).

But now, with DB DLC poisons, is the situation the same? I mean, do they apply on ranged skills or it's literally on the bladed, requiring a melee attack?

I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).

They apply on light and heavy attacks or weapon abilities. So if you had a small ranged dual wield ability on your bar, it could also proc on activating that.

When you said "they", you were referring to poisons or the glyphs? In any case, what would be this distance? Mages' Wrath hits pretty far...

Mages Wrath is not a weapon ability. It is a class ability so it would not proc a poison.
The "they" was referring specifically to poisons. However enchantments likely function the same way. If you aren't attacking with the weapon (light/heavy attacks) or weapon skills specifically from its skill line (in the case of dual wield, Flurry, Whirlwind, Hidden Blade, etc.), then it won't have a chance to proc.

So sorry you can't change your playstyle even the tiniest bit to adapt to a new part of the game ...

No, no, it's not because of that particular thing, no. There are several things worsening the Sorcerer scenario, update after update.
