If you could earn CP while levelling alts, then veteran players would be waaaaay ahead of newer players, even while they were levelling alts. The current system is totally fine and should stay in place.

I am a slow leveller. I am a completionist. I like to do every achievement in every zone when levelling up a new character.

There are a lot more players like you @Rune_Relic :)
Enjoying the large content and not in a hurry to get to lvl 50 in for example 9 hours.
EDIT: it can be done faster: 5-6 hours, again someone not appreciating that doing quests and achievements is fulfilling in itself.

You could ofc grind every now and then enlightened CP's with a lvl 50 character on your account to keep up.
But that still breaks the immersion in your alt character.

ZOS did spend a lot of effort to design that huge content, to give you that questing immersion.

The easiest technical solution I see for your plea:
Give every character that reached lvl 50 a CP bonus based on the number of achievement points of that character.

    EDIT
And for players that like to level alts in PVP... give 1 CP for every AW rank gained until they reach lvl 50.
( the AW title ranks.. not the AW skill line)

We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. TESO is actually more alt-friendly than other games. In many games, you cant even transfer BoP items between characters and can only use cash shop costume or mount on one char.
Leveling to 50 is really fast, and you wouldnt get many cps anyway... Just a couple of them probably, depending on how many you already have. This is because low levels dont require much exp.
Youre accumulating enlightment either way so you will probably catch up when questing in veteran zones with your alts. :)

The Enlighenment of CP gain is quite helpful though. I spend a week leveling a side character and didn't play my main once during that week. A guildmate of mine was at exactly the same CP the moment I stopped using my main to level my alt (we were at 200CP). When I had leveled my alt to lvl 50, I had saved up so much enlightenment that after 4 days I was back at the same CP as my guildmate of around 230CP.

So enlightenment relieves some of the inconvenience of leveling a side character, the only downside is that when you take longer than 12 days to level your alt, the enlightenment stops stacking up.

Leveling and alt should take a few hours if you do it right, just get xp gear and xp scroll or drink.

You should be able to max out your character in 5-6 hours, then after that go do the skillpoint quests and get the skyshards etc. you will gain CP doing so.

Also with one Tamriel all zones will be scaled to your level so you can earn xp regardless of what level you are so you can actually play the story if you like post 50 and get your cp xp.

Just started leveling my magika DK yesterday and got him from 11-30 with a 2 hour scroll, so one more scroll should do the trick, then i'll go back and do main quests and guild quests and skyshards etc.

You would get less than a half a dozen CP.. What would the point be?
