Personally I think every item in the game should be able to be sold.

The clear standout game that does this EVE Online, and it's economy is the 'poster-child' of the MMO universe.

To be honest, I have no problem at all with them selling gear from old content and nerfing old content that allows a larger base of players to experience, play, and complete it once it is out of date. The only thing that needs to go along with that content-design paradigm is that when you nerf and make more widely available the old "hard" stuff and its rewards, you need to release new hard stuff with even bigger and better rewards for your players that can handle and enjoy that type of content.

With no new challenging small group or solo content coming with DB, and nerfs for most of the stuff that is still a semblance of a "challenge," things look a little rough for selling the only endgame gear that is still a little bit tough to get.

These weapons should be sold, but not for gold. Instead there should be a vendor that takes maelstrom essence (or any name for that matter) that come from completion of vet or deconstructing weapons. The vendor should sell these items just like the telvar merchant or just sell them with 1 of 4 traits. Precise, sharpened, nirn or defending. But for the people who think they should be able to just buy them because they are to lazy or not capable, you should only get them if you can complete the content. It's not like monster sets at all because generally even if you aren't good you can get carried through a dungeon. The same is not true for vma because it is solo content. Now I personally think the solo dungeon with BiS weapons was a horrible idea for an mmo that doesn't mean they should give the items away for people who clearly don't deserve them.

I agree. I can`t complete VMA for reasons other than lack of skill, but because of this limitation that goes on the contrary for all "logic" since Imperial City DLC, I don`t have access to the BIS weapon that is much needed for a disgraced Sorcerer.

And the difference between a CP150 to a CP160 is only important for min-maxers

Well, they've pretty much sold everything else. Since they've already chosen that path, it's kinda hard to hold out on this one item.

But I'd prefer they at least wait until there's some newer must-have item. Maybe when/if they update vDSA, updated Master's Weapons will be the new awesomeness.

Exactly. However I must say Maelstrom weapons are way more powerful than Master's. If they add this hopefully they won't make us wait a year, ahha.

Small sample size but;

I've run across three players who will say the like VMA. The rest farm for their weapons and don't go back.

I would just prefer to continue to forget that content even exists.

A setless CP160 Weapon with enchantment is stronger than a CP150 Maelstromeweapon would be. There is no point in getting them at lower levels....

Personally im all for it as i dont enjoy pve all that much, atleast with trials or grp dungeons i get to enjoy the company of guildies. Any MMO that forces solo pve is just cruel.

vMA arena weapons for sale is not a bad idea. If ZOS really wanted to cash in they could put them as a crown only item. People would then have the choice of grinding difficult content and saving a buck or forking out cash and kicking butt.

Yes! Go for it, ZoS. The game is a micro-transaction sh**storm now anyways. Sell it all, if you think you can make money on it. Sell vMA weapons, gold tempers, and Champion Points in the crown store.

I'd rather have a pvp alternative to maelstrom weps. No motivation for the arena. I'll I ever want to do is pvp. I lose motivation very easily outside of cyrodill and usually just shut off the game.
