Im not new to Eso but i just did PvE till now... Im at 9 vet rank with a magblade. (Ps4)
What i am very lost is about pvp and dlcs... A few questions:

1. I dont have a friend list in my psn or a guild, i even dont have a mic... And i get very lost at cyrodiil regarding grouping snd where to go. If i try to find a castle invasion and join in defense or attack, i die very quickly and revive far away. And gain no xp since im not in a group... And if i try to use matchmaking system to find a group, the queue is infinite. So, how to join a group effectively? What kind of campaing to join as my home campaing? What to do exactly since any death is a sentence to run miles from the revive point? See? Im very lost about pvp...

2. I didnt buy imperial city dlc just yet... What to expect? A pve area like any other with group dungeons? A pvp area only? How to enjoy imperial city as a solo player? What i read about this dlc makes my wonder if its for me or not.

3. What to do at max level if not pvp? What YOU use to do? I know about maelstrom arena, it is only for max level or i can try at 9vr?

4. Thieves guild and DB dlcs: how to enjoy the most out of it? Is it like a questline that when i finish i have nothing more to do in the areas?

I think many players have such questions... Leveling is pretty straight forward, but what to do next is the issue...

Thanks in advance!

PvP is very group focused. If you're dealing damage to enemies, you'll get some AP and XP when they die (it's proportional to the amount of damage they received, as I recall.) But, when you respawn in Cyrodiil, you'll be out of range when they die. The answer is usually to wait for someone else in your group to revive you.

To actually find a guild to PvP with, you might need to go to the guilds boards here and see if anyone you're interested in gaming with is online.

Sadly, I suspect you're going to need a microphone to get the most out of PvP.

A little of column A, a little of column B. The IC is a mixed PvP/PvE zone. There are PvE enemies, aimed at being tackled by a group. There are also group bosses, and two dungeons.

Here's the thing, aside from those two dungeons, and your alliance's sewer base everyplace is flagged for PvP. So you can be fighting monsters, and then get utterly slaughtered by another player. Or, vice versa, you can slaughter someone who's going after PvE mobs.

There's still general content for endgame. You can finish up the other two alliance zones, if you haven't already. You can run the delve dailies in Wrothgar. You can find things to entertain yourself. But, if you're looking for simply endgame grind content, that's where you're left with one or two options.

Again, there's also a lot of endgame group content. If you've got a guild, you can group up for Craglorn, or dungeons. You can run the dungeon dailies. There are things to do, though, again, you'll probably want a microphone for that.

There's additional procedural quest bits for both. Thieves Guild has heists which you can sneak around in and steal stuff. It's a daily. Dark Brotherhood has... I forget the term, but same deal, you can sneak around in self contained environments and murder people as part of a daily.

Also Wrothgar has a lot of stuff out there to mess around with.

I hate to sound like this, but, find content that entertains you. That may be doing the questlines in the other alliance zones. It could be PvP. It could be getting a group together and running dungeons. It depends entirely on what you enjoy and want to do more of.

Also, you might want to try rolling up another character. Once DB hits, there's no grinding gap between hitting 50 and catching up with your main. So it might be worth it to mess around with the other classes, if you haven't already.
