Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

    The radius of effect of negate seems to be larger than the visual, the visual is many times ... invisible, and the bug where the visual of a negate would follow the caster almost seems to have the actual effect follow them. When I dodge 2-3 times and am still negated, it's possible many negates are down and exceptionally placed, but it does make me wonder if something isn't quite kosher with how they're performing.

    No one has ever liked any patch's alpha group tactic. People in 1.3 complained about Energy Orb ... though that is a valid complaint, because the synergy was broken as hell. (I broke many a mousewheel :3.) People in 1.4 complained about Fragmented Shield even though it presented a direct counter to stacked impulse groups, and allowed individual players to find a loop hole around the AoE cap of 6. People in 1.5 complained about Wall of Elements and stacked negates. (The Wall of Elements meta was actually my direct fault. Sorry guys :p.) People in the Tamriel Unlimited release until TG complained about Barrier rotations and Proximity Detonation stacks. Now people are going to complain about the Negate->alpha strike group tactic.

    TBH I like that group tactics shift from patch to patch. But I see no reason to complain about them. I'd rather leverage them to my advantage by doing it better and faster than other groups.

    The issue I run into with multiple negates being deployed over a small area is a large decrease in frame rates. Which makes it even more difficult to get out of. Normally even in very large battles I don't experience frame rate drops. My guess is that it may have something to do with the transparency effect the skill has.

    I don't have a fundamental problem with the correctly working negates, it's these moving negates that are really annoying me where the user seems to put it directly on top of themself and it follows their movement..

    I like the meta changing as well; spices up the game while not changing the main objectives on the map.

    It was good to fight your group last night in Hackdirt. Learned a lot and need to make a few adjustments; learned how powerful negate can be in open field and close quarters.

    Getting used to 25+ FPS in large battles is going to take awhile though, so used to having sub 12 FPS...

    You all think this will be a negate meta ... Amateurs. Put your Templars on remembrance, have all dps slot gap closers, and giggle as an entire raid is teleported into the sky 50m away. Fall damage is back yo, but instead of it beng a meteor falling from the sky, it's you xD

    Can't even cast rapid manouvers in a negate, which is a stamina costing skill :trollface:

    i have no issue with how negate is working by itself, it was long overdue for a buff and i think its in a good place,

    its the fact then combined with other abilities that effectively lock out your bar if spammed enough leaves you almost unable to counter it is an issue.

    If a group of 15 or so runs at you, skilfully placing negates like stepping stones (which is hard) but then u have 10 ppl outside just spamming bombard, which you can't purge now as your in the negate, can't break free, can't use rapids, yes can dodge roll but magicka users might only be able to get two off, which doesn't matter cause they roll into the next negate anyway...

    Negate is fine, it was powerful early in the game and got finally buffed back. But I'd say bring standart of might back down to 200 ult points, since it really isn't as powerful as it used to be and can't compete with negate at all.

    Those were fun fights. If it makes you feel better, I got triple negated and wiped out about 10 minutes after that :/

    Well Standard is very powerful, but Negate even more so. It's not as if magicka DKs were OP in any way atm, so I don't see why Standard cost shouldn't be reduced again.

    Anyone claiming Negate isn't completly OP is fooling himself. With the current effect that it has I'd still use it if it would cost 500 Ultimate as its pretty much an "I win"-button in group pvp.
