Every time a DLC comes out there are a few different "I can't afford end game gear because I only XYZ." Sometimes it's PVP, sometimes it's PVE, sometimes it's RP, sometimes it's dungeon running and I'd venture a guess that sometimes it's naked dance parties in Davon's Watch. I'm not here to judge; it's your game to play as you want.

However, if you cannot afford end game gear because you are ESO poor, much like real life, you need to start looking for a job. For many months my ESO job was filling and selling grand soul gems. I didn't want to do this, but it allowed me to afford stuff that was pretty useful. Later on I turned to potions, and picking flowers. Now, since I pretty much do 90% PVP I just sell the rewards for about 1000 gold each. When I'm running dry on those I have my mountain of mountain flowers to fall back on. If those are low, random stuff like crafting stones get sold. All in all I clear 50 to 100k a week without much effort even though my on PVE time is while I'm in the queue.

Long story short, before you beg for nerfs or leach off of others, pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get a job.

    Hmmm...
    interesting idea, really.
Since questing is absolutely not rewarding, I could go looking for a job as bartender, or lumberjack...

@ZoS, hey guys, OP has a bloody good idea right there!!!
    Give us JOBS!!!

This is a very worthwhile ESO career!

Seriously though, if you just devote about 10% of your play time to something like this, you'll be rewarded with plenty of gold for the next time a Sword of 1000 Truths gets dropped.

I'm pretty broke in my ESO life... but unlike real life, I'm totally cool with that and would rather be broke and not have the newest shiny so I don't need to have a "job"! :D

Oh thank god someone gets it...I didn't make my first million dancing naked in Davin's Watch you know!

I am glad someone on the forums here has come out and said something about this. I don't think a lot of people get it.

However, on the flip side of the coin, a lot of people don't have the time to consistently farm for gold. I say this as someone who went from LOTS of free time (college) to not lots of free time (a job). I have the money I made during my free time in college still, by I don't have an income any more, because I don't really have the time to support one. I am in a pretty good spot, retired you might say. But I can also see how it is very difficult for those that never had that free time in their lives to amass a few million and then play frugally after that.

Now, of course, this does not validate the people whining for nerfs etc. I worked (played?) for my money, and as a result I can afford to buy nice things. It just means that maybe if you are poor and don't have the time to get a job, you should settle for not having top of the line everything. What is the point in owning a Ferrari if you can't afford to pay for gas? Or, a more game friendly example, what is the point in having BiS gear for trials if you can't afford the potions to sustain it?

It's so easy to make gold since TG! Also, dailies like writs rewad with decent amount of money. NMoL, nSO are very profitable now too.

All in all, yellow mats are expensive, but they are well worth it.
Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest
Lae Lenne - Templar Healer Trial grade.
Dromede - Stamina Nightblade, she's a newb and doesn't know what she's doing
V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank
Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...

But i was actually not kidding, we could have JOBS in the game, whatever they may be, and that give a good coin on the side atop it would be AWESOMELY fit into RP.
We could use a few different forms of income, not all are good traders (I am THE worst, hence i donate all my stuff), and the game is not my friend, RNG wise.
So, for folks like me, this would be a VERY valid thing to have?

Some are worth much more, some are useless. In a nutshell here is a good pricing guide for you.

If it's something that makes no sense, like a marksman's shield, than just deconstruct it. It's probably worthless.

If it's remotely useable, like a marksman's bow with a blah trait, 500 to 1000 g is doable.

If it's anything with divines it'll sell well. Infused and impenetrable are also solid sellers. Divines is the real money maker though.

Vicious Death sells the best because people use it a lot.

Any jewelry is sellable and usually for a really good price. If you can get a purple VD piece of jewelry getting 20 to 40k at a time can happen. Even if you're impatient 10k is easy.

If you happen to be one of those lucky souls with a piece of gold jewelry ... back up the Brinks truck and don't get out of bed for less than 100k.

All prices are based on XBox.

Sell it for 25k on a guild store, someone might think it's a great deal and buy it by accident. =)

I once sold a purple mace, one of those named drops from a dungeon boss for 10k. It wasn't a set piece either, no idea why it sold for that.

    Here is probably (in my opinion) the best job Zos could give us;

We act as "hirelings" for other players. They can still have their skill points in that passive, but still get 1 more hireling per day. You could only have 1 passive hireling and 1 "active" hireling a day though.

After a while your passive hirelings start seeing you recruited another hireling and Zos can either make them work harder for your money (maybe double what they bring you for a couple days) or less (just bring 1 item per 12/24 hours whatever your passives may be) because you do not support them enough lol

There could be a whole new system for that.

Also, You as an "Active" passive could only do each craft once per day no matter how many passive points you have
