Left handed "personality/animation trait"?

Hello all,

This is just a thought I had last night while playing. It came to me as I was adding the assassin personality to my character.

For all those lefties out there, wouldn't it be cool if you could make your character left handed? Sword and board, stance, ..... you get the picture.

In the grand scheme of things, a minor thing, but it would be cool. Thoughts?

You mean you want a left handed personality trait?

I wish we had a handedness in ESO... I would assume they would just need to mirror animations but maybe there's a lot more to it than that.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

It is mirroring animaitons in a fashion. It just requires the animations to be built from the bottom up, as a simple "flip" wouldn't look right or perform correctly.

I would love to allow my main to be left-handed as I am IRL. Of course, I might enjoy it for a while, then wish bows also had the option to determine handedness via eye dominance (as it is done IRL). Then I would likely wish for an alternative set of animations for a thumb grip release for bows.. This one is a slippery slope for me. :p

Natural dominance can be trained out, in both eye and hand. This is pretty much the norm of training lol

The personalities come with the New DLC. They arent traits, but a set of animations for the character.

They tried doing that with me when I was a kid.I'm left handed all the way,and have to curve my left hand around over the top of whatever I am writing to make the proper cursive slant to the right. My teacher used to thwack me hard with the edge of a ruler on the hand to get me to stop it,..every day.I never did. My dad found out what he was doing, and came to school,..kicked his butt all over the place.
    End point?
Not all things can be trained out of a person. Some things are permanent.

I suppose I was catered to then. I'm cross-dominant, and I was trained to go on "what feels right, because if it feels 'off', then your instincts won't pick up where the conditioning ends."

    I think it's a great idea.

The sheer number of animations that would need to be replaced means we likely wouldn't see this for a long while, but it would be really cool.
