Yeah, they just got nerfed hard. Lots of them are crying in their beers, switching classes, or swearing they'll quit. You console people should get the patch soon.

OP, are you baiting and or trolling? Sorcerers are the worst class now out of the four (mathematically speaking) and are a complete relic of what they used to be. Are they really that bad? I'm a new player currently playing a stamina nb( my EQ main was a monk. Closest I can get) but was thinking of a sorcerer for faster soloing. Years of EQ taught me nay-sayers are usually the most vocal on forums and to take it with a pound of salt but wow it's heavy on the sorcerer bit atm...0 -

Not necessarily, the trick is to time the shields properly. If you have played other magicka classes with resto staff and healing ward, this should never be a problem. All you really need is healing ward to be perfectly honest, it does the job exceptionally well.
The people who complain are the ones that just played in like "Shield and forget" type of style, which obvsiouly won't work anymore.
Also regarding damage, sorc's may not be the best but calling them the worst is also not true. I can pull off sustained 18 - 20k single target DPS without overload and without buffs from outside sources, it really isn't that difficult. Yeah, other classes can achieve more, but at a cost. I still haven't had any trouble doing Maw, vICP, vWGT even after the nerfs, in fact I am almost always the last man standing if the group wipes and get to rez people.
Sorc's are far from best, yeah, but neither are they the worst - it solely depends on the skill of the person. Though I do feel sorry for stamsorcs.Edited by Egonieser on June 5, 2016 2:45AMSometimes, I dream about...cheese...

I have one magicka and one stamina version of each class, all of them fully leveled and geared. My Magicka Sorcerer is my main and the character I put the most time and effort on.
To put it simply, there is nothing any of my sorcerers can do that any of my other 6 characters can't do better right now, even though I have much more experience playing my Magicka Sorcerer than my other characters.
But go ahead. It is still fun to solo as a Sorcerer, although I am biased on that sense because I really like the class (despite everything, I am currently leveling yet another Sorcerer). And "balancing changes" happen all the time, so who knows? We were overnerfed on this patch, we might get overbuffed on the next one.Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.

Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
