I have been away from ESOTU for a year or so. I bought ESO for my Mac when it first came out but didn't like the subscription fee. Played it again when there was no subscription fee but never liked playing on the PC. So when it became available for Xbox One, I bought it again. I played it but then stopped because of life. Just didn't have the time. Well now sadly I have lots of time on my hands now. I lost my job, so until I can get a new one, I have lots of time on my hands now. So I am thinking of coming back to play ESO since I missed playing in the Elder Scrolls Universe. I can't play Skyrim on Xbox One and since prefer playing these types of games on console instead of the computer, I am thinking ESOTU would be a great place to try again.
I am not sure what to do. While I haven't played much I will be starting over again. I was like level 10 or 15. I guess the furthest I got was when I was an Altmer and I was with the Queen trying to to the quest in some cave to kill a boss monster. Was never able to kill him. Now I started the game, but I lost the "feel" of my character. So I am thinking of starting a new game.
So with the new expansions are out, I am wondering, do I buy the expansions, or is it better to go with the subscription for 2 or 3 months? How much do the expansions cost now? How much in real money does it cost? I know to buy them is in, in game currency but how much real money is that? What is a monthly fee now? Do I really need them? Do they add a more enjoyable experience?
I can't remember what characters are and do now. I want to play and not restart anymore so I thought I would ask here as well what I should be looking at. Have they changed since the beginning or are they drastically different now? As I said in my last game I was an Altmer since I liked casting magic spells. I am not sure with all the changes now, if magic has changed and if I should still pick Altmer to get the most magic or should I be looking at another race?
What I would like to do is, be able to cast magic. I would say I want to be sneaky as well, but last time I played, there was no real options for being sneaky that I can remember. Has this changed now? Do the expansions let us be really sneaky? What race and class should I be looking at with someone who is great at swords, magic and sneaking?
I just saw something about Dark Brotherhood DLC and it's out for PC/Mac. Does that mean it's not out yet for Xbox One/PS4?
Thanks for your time reading this. I will appreciate all the help I can get.
