Hello,
Are all pets only cosmetic? They provide no bonuses?
Are all mounts exactly the same in movement speed/hidden bonuses ?

    Yes and yes

Pets are for looks. No attacks.

Mounts are all the same speed and are based off of your mount training progress. All of your mounts level the same. Once you hit 60 speed on a character it's the same for all mounts that character owns.

Some used to claim that guard are a little slower and awkward at jump, not sure if it's still a thing.
Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest
Lae Lenne - Templar Healer Trial grade.
Dromede - Stamina Nightblade, she's a newb and doesn't know what she's doing
V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank
Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...

    Do you mean Guar ?

Yeah I felt the same. They feel a little awkward and seem slow but I think that's only the aesthetic, they're not actually slower than other mounts.
The bear mount feels a little different too.

Correct, but it was not always like this. You used to have to feed your individual mount, so you might find some conflicting info out there.

The individual mount bonuses were consolidated into the riding skill - mounts could only be fed up to 50% but could have an extra 10 as their starting stat, so when it was changed to riding skill it was converted to 60% and you were awarded any 10% natural bonus that any of your mounts had as part of that 60%.

You are correct in that anyone doing a google search could be faced with conflicting information, anything that states that 1 mount is faster or can carry more than another is outdated!

Yes, those are only pets (along with the clanfear) that attack I believe.. To get them you have to be a sorcerer, and they are under the 'Deadric summons' skill line.

does having a pet out in a dungeon actually affect healing?
I was told pets have 1 Hp and can "steal heals" in dungeon. Is actually a thing?

The nightblade class can also summon up to 2 shadow warrior pets, but they only last about 20 seconds, so they aren't permanent pets.

You can also get a monster helm set (maw of the infernal) which gives a chance to summon a giant daedroth pet to attack enemies for about 15 seconds.

Finally, there is a special set of armour you can craft that also gives a chance to summon a floating sword that attacks people like a pet, but that also has a short cool down.

Sorcerers do have pets that stay summoned (winged twilight and a scamp that can be morphed into a clanfear) and they also have an ultimate that summons a giant storm Atronach, which is cool but is only there for a set period of time. While the pets are cool, read about them on the forums because a lot of people say they aren't as good as they need to be.

p.s. I just remembered that the Werewolf also summons two dire wolves that will stay with you while you are transformed into a werewolf.

The guar only seem slower due to their animations I think. Pretty sure all mounts are exactly the same in speed at whatever riding level you're at.

I'm so disappointed that the mount speed are so slow and being easy to get thrown off when hit by an enemy. Seems the only way to increase is having to buy more crowns and then buy more speed and resistance training. Would be nice if there's an in-game increase for the mount's speed and stam.. like the more you ride and distances you put in, the more speed and stam your mount gets.
