IC PVP *for pvpers*
An idea for IC by Jules, Inigo, Gman
The changes to IC to allow capturable districts is a good step forward. However, the flags in districts are easier to claim than resource flags in Cyrodiil and the incentive just isn’t there for PVPers. PVP’ers want to kill each other, but there should also be some nudge in the right direction ie: objectives or incentives to get them to do this and to instill purpose. Receiving more tel var stones is not enough of an incentive. We need an incentive that gives a buff of some sort, such as continuous attack
Our suggestions for creating incentive to PVP in IC are as follows:- Let us fight on buildings and temples. Each district should have three king of the hill flags in these kinds of areas. King of the Hill meaning the flags flip easily from color to color, and return to neutral after a set amount of time.
- Cut amount of mobs in IC Districts by half.
- IC leaderboard separate than Cyrodiil leaderboard, with AP gain as empirical value used to gauge rankings of players, same as Cyrodiil.
- Rewards at end of campaign are telvar stones and keys used to open vaults that have RNG chance at gold gear including gold willpower and agility. (add these to tier 1 of cyrodiil leaderboards as well) Add separate chests in safe areas that take these keys. Tier 1 of LB would get most keys, Tier 2 would get 2nd most, ect.
- Leaderboards would be bi-daily. This encourages spouts of high intensity PVP for a chance at keys and negates the need for long term investments like emperor.
- The more flags you hold, the better ap you gain you get- 5% per flag as long as it’s held. Once you claim 3rd flag of 1 district, 30 min counter starts before flags of that district will return to neutral unless the flags are contested.
- When the districts are empty and no one is pvping, they will be neutral. This will allow people to see when action is happening because flags visible on your map will be turning and will have to had turned within 30 minutes.
- Claiming an entire district (3 flags) should give continuous attack to those who are on the third flag when the district is claimed. 90% AP gain if your faction holds all flags in all districts. (But this would be extremely difficult and require a lot of coordination.)
- Flags need to be away from spawn areas. Players can always spawn at their two districts that align with their faction even if this district is not owned by their faction. (Nobles + Elven Gardens - DC, Arboriteum + Temple - AD, Memorial + Arena- EP) This gives the players of each faction a method of easily contesting their home districts.
- Ideally the districts would be capped at groups of 8 to promote small scale PVP and reduce the likelihood of large groups strongarming the entire districts, ruining active PVP and circumventing the system.
- Increase tel var usefulness by including coffers that give you chance at gold upgrade mats, pages of new motifs, and crafting style stones.
- Instanced IC for each campaign.
