Critic chance and critic damage

I tried with my NB to maximize these 2 stats and stamina and I don't see big numbers, not in pve and not in pvp... was a bad idea?

✭✭✭Briarhart 5pc, hundings 5pc night mother 2pc (or other combo) in medium 7/7 and khajit... precise weapons for more or sharpened for gain.
ought to be looking at pretty close to auto in PVE land. less vs PVP due to impen.
