Tips for grinding AP with a sorc

TLDR A top level sorc needs caltrops for a PVE build. What is a good PVP build for a sorc to quickly level the alliance war skills?

Hi, so after a month of excited planning my Khajiit stam sorc DoT build, the removal of vet ranks meant he is basically top level. I geared him up in Skoria, Syvarra's Scales and Briarheart, and it literally melts any enemy with great self-healing and even against a single target there will usually be both a meteor and poison spit in the first couple of seconds. I've played it for two days and it is incredibly fun and far more viable than I expected (it was meant to be a build just for fun). The changes to bloodthirst, implosion, crit surge and huricane all work really well, but I really want caltrops because it will add even more.

So while the respecs are cheap I want to make a PVP build (the DoT build won't work in cyrodil) to farm AP. It's a Khajiit Sorcerer near to maximum champion points, but I am not a regular PVP player, so I wondered if anyone had any advice for a build?

I was thinking of a magicka pet healer build stacking some shields. Maybe even going mainly heavy armour with the seducers set to stop myself being easily killed.

Any advice about skills, gear, equipment traits? Basically any advice?

Also, can anyone recommend a busy campaign on the EU server? (I really haven't PVP'ed in over a year!)

It's a DC character, so if anyone can recommend a campaign where DC has PuG groups that would be amazeballs.

@Jim_Pipp try Ebony, there is a LOT of smurfs. Remember to take pocket healer with you or better 3 like they always have
