Finishing Moves; Ja? oder Nein?

I know this has been brought up in the past, but following my assassination spree last night I feel like it needs to be brought up again.
With the implementation of the Blade of Woe (which does not work in PvP) showing us that finishing animations can not only be put into the game, but can also work -really- well with the gameplay, why not get some for all the weapon skill lines. Finishing moves which would only work on NPCs, not in PvP.

Of course I'm not thinking a one hit kill assassination type thing, but maybe an option that activates when your target is both "Off Balance" and has less than 10% health remaining. Mash the button quick and do something awesome to finish them off; except in PvP where it would not work.. Maybe get a little XP bump, or loot buff for a successful execution?

Would not work in PvP and of course most bosses would be immune.

C'mon, you folks can't tell me it wouldn't be rad if in the heat of battle, the tank next to you kicks a dude in the gut and drops the edge of his shield on the back of his neck? Or that big Argonian in the front with the two-hander lops a draemora's noggin clean off.

Or if the zombie you're working on is suddenly lifted off the ground by a stalamite of ice courtesy of the clothy behind you with the Frost staff.

    It's all about flavor.

In a PvP setting these finishing moves would be forced and unavoidable as the animation carries it out once initiated. Even on the cusp of death a player can still somehow block, negate, or avoid attacks if they have the right abilities for it. Being guaranteed death once reaching a certain amount of Health just so someone else can win the fight gloriously might become a very serious point of contempt for a lot of people.

Well, you could just not push the button.
I get what you mean, in Skyrim you couldn't chose whether or not to do it; which got annoying, and got me killed on more than one occasion.
This would involve a prompt like the Blade of Woe.

    It would be awesome but:

    1) Animations could be more realistic. While doing the first mission I sank the Woe behind the back of the first contract and I saw it going through his lungs and getting out through his mouth. That was brutal... and awesome! But there was not enough blood to be convincing and the clipping of the person and the the blade was so bad that I felt like playing "Operation"

    2) In some cases, like bosses with adds that don't vanish after being killed (e.g. Wispmother in Hrota Cave - AWESOME), the kill cam should lock everything in place or then give player immunity so we can safely see it happening without worry about dying randomly because we're not able to react.

I like the kill cam. In general I love cutscenes in games and wish ZOS would use them to tell stories like Bioware does it for example.
