How important is interrupt? (PvE)

Hey everyone. I'm a dedicated archer, so I have 2 bows slotted (I know it's not top dps, it's just the weapon I like best) and, since archers are already known for their low DPS, I try to be the best I can so I won't be so much behind other DPS. But, despite that, I chose the Venom Arrow morph for Poison Arrow, instead of the usual Poison Injection. From what I've heard, most archer choose Injection because of the far greater damage, but, aren't interrupts equally important, even from a PvE point of view? Or should I just leave that for the tank to do, and focus solely on damage?

I keep Venom Arrow slotted on my (primary) bow bar especially for the interrupts. I tend to have bad luck with the button-clicking method of interrupting anyway, and the ability to interrupt from range is really handy. I use it a lot on healers in mobs because those guys are annoying. I also have a CP passive that gives me a damage boost after interrupting something, so that all ties together nicely. It's up to you how it suits your playstyle, but it works for me.

It depends on playstlye. Do you solo a lot? Then the interrupt sounds like it is very useful to you. Do you run a lot of group content as a DPS? Then you should probably choose the other morph for the damage.

Interrupt is very important, but in group play either the tank or the healer will handle that. The DPS should primarily handle the damage part.

I like the interrupt. Also, keep in mind that The Ritual Constellation has a passive that gives 15% bonus damage to the next physical attack after an interrupt.

Well, I do solo a lot, since I'm still doing Cadwell's Silver, and plan to finish Gold afterwards. I guess I'll repick my morphs when I'm done.

There are some PvE mobs that if you don't have an Interrupt the fights will take forever or might even be impossible. I remember a few bosses that heal themselves up to max in a short period of time if you don't interrupt them.

Also, interrupting a caster is a nice bonus as there are passives that increase damage on stunned or off balance opponents. Interrupting, even without the bonus, is like getting a free shot in on your second attack as the mob is not going to be attacking you.

I think everyone should have either an Interrupt skill on their bar, or a gap closer that allows them to do a bash afterwards if the GC does not stun.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
