Game is crushing during fighter guild and mages guild quests.

So here I am, powerlevelling my newbies before tomorrow, and the game keeps crushing. Hitting M for map causes it, probably also due to add-ons I have. But that's not the worst issue.
Usually, those quests send you over to a different zone through a portal. If you crush in the middle of the quest, you get sent back to the guild hall, and you have to restart it all over.
I wish it was not a thing. There's a good amount of quests that send you to an otherwise unaccessible territory, and if you crash/time out, you have to start over again. They are also quite lengthy, and even though I appreciate the story, restarting the same quests over and over is the opposite of fun.
