Thoughts on new weapon trait, "Decisive"?

ZoS basically changed "weighted" to "decisive"- which means that you have a chance of earning extra ultimate while gaining ultimate. I actually like the idea for certain builds (aka DK tanks).

Has anyone had the opportunity to test it out in the PTS?

How high is the "chance" to gain extra ultimate? I'd assume that you'd gain X amount of ultimate after a global cool down...

People did the math on that it says 17% chance to generate 1 extra ultimate, overall its roughly a 4% increase over your general ultimate gains from average play.

17% chance at getting 1 addition Ultimate whenever you gain Ultimate.

Proc rate is low and the gain is abysmal. Not really all that useful.

So, it's not worth it at all. :/

Looks like I'm sticking with "Defending".

ZoS really does have a good idea with that trait... but 17% is waaaaaay too low. Why would I equip a weapon that has a useless trait 83% of the time? "Defending" and "Nirnhoned" consistently give results.

It would be better if "Decisive" gave one extra ultimate every time you killed an enemy. Or, perhaps, gave a flat percentage to ultimate gain.

    @Wrobel

Just a suggestion. I'll post this in the PTS DB feedback section, too.

Might be worth it if you're a NB wearing a set of Tava's Favor

I wonder if this is one of many (and yet another) ambigous tooltip fail on ZOS part. Has anyone tested this to see if it isnt actually 1 additional ultimate per ultimate gained? For example if you have a passive that gains 10 ultimate on a kill, you have a 17% chance to gain 10 additional ultimate.

If not, I can still see how it MIGHT be usefull with some nb siphoning skills/passives.

Yes its been tested extensively, you only gain 1 additional Ultimate point regardless of how much Ultimate you gained when it happened. The proc rate is relatively low and seemingly has an internal CD. You could dual wield the effect for 34% increase, that raises your overall gain rate to about 6% more Ultimate gains over your average play.

Seems like a decent option for a tank if you don't need the extra mitigation, so I see it as an improvement over live.

If you're a healer you're either using precise or powered.

If you're a dps you're either using sharpened or precisesharpened or nirnsharpened (and maybe infusedsharpened.)

Seems like the charged trait needs some work though (along with tuning of sharpened)
