I have been permabanned. I never got the reason why it was had been done.
As far as I understand, ZOS decided I sold gold.
I had lots of free time and was one of top10 guild traders in one Crag guild, collected 10mil gold with trading.

how? you cannot trade / transfer crowns and neither you can trade anything you buy from crowns. you MUST have taken a way through real money. not the perfect example of undeserved bans, rather those that deserve bans making up stories as usual

This had nothing to do with the developers. This is not an in game exploit. This is not some accidental discovery. It is a third party program that hacks the game client to allow flagrant cheating.

Your argument is like a thief saying he should get off from robbing your house because the lock on your door could be picked open.

- Suspend their account for 3 days
- Empty their bank
- Delete all chars
- Remove all CP points
- Remove Crown Store stuffz as well
- If they do come back (and not having suffered a stroke when they see that everything's gone) and start anew with a char, permaban them when they reach lvl 10

I love a good cup of despair with a smidge of agony in the morning

Perm ban because people who will exploit things like this will be the same people involved in the next big exploit.. it's just in their nature maybe to do things like that unfortunately.

I realize they can just buy another copy of the game and start all over again, but hopefully, if they have to do that (start from scratch), they will take half s second to think before they use another exploit.

Not only delete their acounts, also make sure the unique hardware ID that is used to identify the account, respectively all of them associated with the account in question, get permanently blacklisted. Make sure that returning to the game not only cost them 30 bucks and a free email adress, but new kit in the range of 500 to 1k bucks.

There is zero alternative to this to save your company's face.

Perma bans, reset the leader boards, Make the Game Great Again !!! Cheaters never really win, just shallow and meaningless victories.

Running third party programs to alter the game is a pretty serious offensive, and should be treated that way, I hope that ZOS's security team can come up with a way to detect it and ban on the spot, this is the kind of thing than can hurt the companies bottom line, some folks sub here some buy from the store, this is almost a breach in security, and can make a lot of customers concerned about spending money for the game. I am sure ZOS is aware of this and I would suspect they will strike back pretty harshly as they should to set an example.
