After being permabanned myself - I am strongly against it.
3 months of ban is enough. // 3 MONTHS, not 3 days.
It's not about excuses.
For hackers there can only be zero tolerance...make them play wow...the heathens
Guys,
Perma ban can be seen as a good thing, as the thing that should be
I have been permabanned. I never got the reason why it was had been done.
As far as I understand, ZOS decided I sold gold.
I had lots of free time and was one of top10 guild traders in one Crag guild, collected 10mil gold with trading.
I exchanged gold to ingame crowns. I found it not EULA-breaking and thought it was funny. Yet ZOS decided I should be permabanned.
But I'm not talking about my reason, I talk about all the situation feedback.
Neither I neither any of you can't guarantee that ZOS would permaban players who really deserved it.
Permaban is a really harsh punishment.
Even 3 months is quite harsh.
Permaban is a heart-breaker. Cause there'd be not co guilty guys.
I promise you: they would be permabanned and they would have absolute zero chances to appeal.
So, please, don't go after permaban.
Nothing because it's the developers fault for being *** not the players. And also it was hilarious to watch
I'd actually take it a step further:
- Suspend their account for 3 days
- Empty their bank
- Delete all chars
- Remove all CP points
- Remove Crown Store stuffz as well
- If they do come back (and not having suffered a stroke when they see that everything's gone) and start anew with a char, permaban them when they reach lvl 10
I love a good cup of despair with a smidge of agony in the morning
I find it ironic when posts like this come up... Now you have simply brought more attention to folks who might be tempted to do such an exploit... Especially since OP calls out what the exploit/hack involves... Shame shame!
