Your Thoughts on Evasion/Shuffle/Elude

I have been spending a lot of my recent ESO time playing in Cyrodiil, and the medium armor skill Evasion (and its morphs) seem to be on many players' skill bar. The 20% dodge chance is valuable, understandably so, but is 20% too high of a percentage? Is that why it appears to be used by most players? Should evasion cost more stamina to cast?

Any time I see a skill that is so widely used (especially across all classes) I become leery of its in-game prominence. What are your thoughts on Evasion and its morphs?

I'm one of the people skeptical on whether or not its an exploited skill or not.
I have fought against people that were virtually impossible to hit while under the influence of Evasion to a point that I honestly felt that the skill was broken in some way. Other times, I fought people that I could hit without a single skill missing.
Dodge rolling with evasion on, however, seems to almost guarantee that the next move after the dodge roll is finished will miss, which seems very odd to say the least.

I have no problem with Evasion having a 20% dodge chance, nor do I mind it as it's not as OP as some of other survival mechanics (*cough* shields *cough*) however, I do have my suspicions that there is a problem with the skill somewhere with its interactions with dodge roll.

Nevertheless, the skill is very useful just because the shuffle morph removes snares and that alone is really all it takes to warrant its usage to such a high extent, especially when trying to avoid those Lotus Fan bombing NBs that are running amok in PvP everywhere.

Saw a dps nightblade stay alive using this "tactic" or "bug" against 10-15 players last night. He would literally dodge everything at times that his health bar stayed up with all those players spamming attacks on him. IMO only a tank should be able to stay alive against a large group like that not a dps but what do I know.

I'd like to see a max dodge chance on ROLL DODGE, because evasion is fine. But if 5 templars throw javelin at you, for example, you should take two...just by volume. Plus, was never a fan of such a strong defense given to builds that can also burst, but just my 2 cents.

OP, dodge chance is okay...but not cool with dodge roll as is, and I think THAT is the issue.

Guys, keep one thing in mind. Most players that use this are stamina nightblades and only reason is that it is only good defense skill available to them. Only way for a Stamina nightblade to survive in battle is to use dodge roll+major evasion.

Due to the new exposure of a 3rd party software that alters game files, it could be actually hacking in some instances.

It appears to me that many different builds are using Evasion. During gameplay, I see a lot of players with different builds who have the hollow/misty look that appears when using the skill. This goes for magicka sorcs and magicka templars, as well.

I think that's my primary concern. I get that the move is especially essential for stamina builds, but it appears to be quite abundant for other builds.

This. There already a nightblade skill that gives 20% dodge chance as well but nobody uses it because it costs magicka which is needed for fear or cloaking. Dodging and shuffle is the only real defense stamina nightblades have thx to the nerf that was put on dodging already.

Because the 20% isn't tied to anything. It is not reduced by being in PvP therefore when combined with a shield you essentially get the best boost to defense in game. 20% dodge rate is essentially an additional 20% to a shield. The removal of snares makes it viable for a magicka build as it doesn't have the increase to cost as dodge rolling does.

They essentially made a move prior to the PvP changes that was immune to the PvP changes

Right, so stam builds that spend stam roll dodging attacks (some attacks can't be dodged like AoEs) is more OP than putting up uncritble shields that can be spamed with no punishments?

Not every skill can be dodged so it is not OP Plus ZOS keeps increasing the cost of other defense so players have to rely on this RNG evasion to even it out...

Ever since zos nerfed blocking, shuffle is pretty much the only reliable stam Defence that dosent punish you for using it. Dodge roll and block both got hit hard.

I do notice if your charging a Heavy attack and they dodge roll they auto dodge the attack unless its like 5 seconds later.
