Thinking of coming back

Been a while. I was a beta player and played for a while until I got bored with some changes to the game (scaling instances to vr 16 which made pugging impossible) is it still that way? I remember when you could random que anything and have a chance to beat it. The four mans got impossible to pug and turned me off. Also, has text chat been implemented yet? That's all that turned me away. Otherwise I would gladly hope back in. Also, how is the population on ps4?

As for scaling, with the next update (Dark Brotherhood) you don't have to worry about scaling since they're removing vet ranks

Hopefully they make the instances beatable again. They got way too out of hand and were not very pug friendly. Took the fun right out of playing for me. Glad to see vr die. Going to read the patch notes. DB was my favorite part of eso and got my interest. Going to sub up I think and give this game a shot once more.

Be aware heartburnkid that while VR ranks are going away they're being directly replace my Champion Levels on a 10 to 1 basis.

What was once a VR16 difficulty dungeon will remain somewhat the same challenge but be a C160 dungeon.

To be fair, it's also going to be possible to over level to CR501 now. So at the upper end of the spectrum, it should be possible to PUG again soon enough... we can hope.

Yeah, but the first 200 CP are rlly easy to get

While I don't normally PUG random vet dungeons, I've been PUGging the normal ones pretty regularly and they are beatable even when your V16 healer ends up with a group of level 15-20s. It's actually quite fun.

Now remember that since you already bought the game, you don't need to buy anything else to give it another try. I'd say update, check it out and then if you DO like what you see, you have the option of getting the DLC or subscribing or whatever.

Tried it and man, still unbeatable. Maybe my pugs suck, but man, these used to always be beatable. Well, it was worth a shot. Thankfully I didn't sub amd it was a free reminder why I quit in the first place. I'll keep checking the forums every few weeks to see of this changes but until then, see you Eso.
