What happens to or what is the point of... Low Lvl Crafting Mats... once the DB DLC hits?

Sorry if this has been covered, I don't come to forums often..... I will have 160 CP's so my level 3 new toon get to wear 160 CP armor/weps correct? That is the basis of my question then... do they all get a free upgrade to 160cp mats or what... or I suppose it's just refine them all for resins then sell off the mats..... since they are pointless now?

What they're saying is, champion points become available to all characters at level 50. This would be a change from the current distribution, so I'd like some more info myself.

Honestly, I'm taking all lower level crafting mats because I'm making several sets (light, heavy and medium) of armor and weapons all with TRAINING on them, upgraded to Blue Quality (i have 4 stacks of the stupid things lol). That's why i'm keeping all the lower level ones. The TRAINING trait with the low cost of Ambrosia will make leveling quick

I believe that only when your character reaches lvl 50 will you be able to wear 160cp gear up 'til then mats stay the same.

However VR1 to VR14 mats will only be used by those without 160cp. :)

Honestly, there should be little change to low level mats. There really is no need to use them for crafting anything. Characters can easily level to 50 using only dropped items rather than crafted sets. I mostly use low level mats to share traits. The real impact to mats will be from v1 to v14 mats, since anyone with 160 CP will jump from level 50 to top tier mats, and never need to craft kresh or void. Of course, it will still be worth harvesting those mats to refine them.

I haven't found it easy to level with only dropped items but even when I do have some decent dropped gear if I wear the best I have, I have to put on a costume so I don't look like I got dressed in a cave. I mean, really, some of us do care what we look like walking around in the world and a nice improved crafted set with perks and enchantments looks so much better.

Well since i plan to buy four new char slots, i have had my non-crafters picking up mats in wrothgar. Just, rawhide, msple and iron almost ready for my new babies.

I admit, homespun julianos seems wrong but rawhide hundings.. ok well..

You won't be able to wear any of the 160 champ gear until you hit level 50… and have at least 160 champion points.

As far as the matts? Refine them for the tempers like you said and sell all of it unless you plan to level a lot of characters, then maybe make a few sets of gear. But I would just sell.

At my levelling pace I'm happy to craft my stuff every 10 levels... but after DB all the many materials between v1-14 will be a bit superfluous – I wouldn't be surprised if the Q3 DLC gets rid of a few or stretches existing ones to cover more levels, something like: lvl 46 to CP 30, CP 40-90, CP 100-160 and then eventually a new one for when they lift the cap to CP 180/200.

You'll need void, v9 - v14 mats for writs. As for the lower level mats, if you have the crafting bags, hang on to them, you never know what mats will be usefull when housing comes out in a year or so.

level 1-50 will remain the same. Champ points won't apply until you hit 50 so start grinding that level 3 now. VR rank stuff will be almost worthless except for your VR9-VR16 or CH90-160.
