Housing and Treasures

So I've been sampling peoples wallets in different towns all across tameriel and I've found all sorts of Epic quality treasure since I 'found' it. I wondered can we use the new 'found' treasure to be put on display in our houses as I think that would be a pretty cool thing to showcase the treausres that were found through-out tameriel. It'll be a nice thing to have for players to see all your items you collected across your journey now ofc this is my opinion but what do you guys think? If @ZOS_JessicaFolsom could confirm if this is a possible thing that'll be awesome.

When the treasures first came out, all they had were descriptive texts. Some entertaining texts, to be sure, but that was it. Now they have categories (eg. wall decorations, writing instruments, etc.). So, I suspect that this is exactly what Zenimax has in mind for these treasures. My hunch is, to get an idea of what these treasures will look like in our future homes, just go into any Outlaw's Den and look at what is lying around on desks, floors, or mounted on walls.

If there is one feature I want with housing it is this as well as displaying armor and weapon sets.

It's anyone's guess how we will decorate any housing they add. However, it follows a bit of logic they would have many decos added to existing content to keep us grinding them. And of course any new content also.

I hope I can put my loot in my house, I've found quite a few epic items unfortunately no legendary (except for the one in the thieves guild quest line for master thief title).

I'm hoping they will see what a cool idea it would be to make it so crafters can craft certain housing items. For example, woodworkers could make tables, chairs, desks etc. clothiers could make rugs, pillows, cushions, blacksmiths could make metal picture frames, metal curio cases for display, (you get the idea).. and you could research various racial housing decoration motifs. You could research the decoration items just like we do for armors and weapons.. or maybe the plans for the research could drop off the various mob races of Tamriel... after all, mobs have to go home and sleep somewhere at night too..

If I could do a Batman Esque hall for my Monster sets that would be awesome. It would be leaps above me currently trying them on and saying I got this one, and this one, and this one. Also, let my pets scamper about, what's a home without pets?

This would be good for 'fancier' or more rare items that maybe hard to find, like the purple items that we sometimes loot.

Ever since stealing and pick pocketing were added to the game I've been hoping that it would be combined with the housing system. How fun would it be to decorate your house with stolen goods?? Just go out and swipe a nice looking lamp or rug. I've been tempted to keep some of the more rare or unusual looking items just in case that happens, but meh, I'll always be a klepto anyhow.

It'll be cool if housing was like Runescapes like yo I made an awesome player owned house in those days. I'd have massive parties where people would come in and get attacked because I'd have a PvP zone right near the entrance where they could snipe players coming in. That fueled a lot of hate between players and got them wasting cash buying potions, etc; I'd sit back host the party for hours..GOOD TIMES!!

I agree this would be VERY cool @MaxwellCrystal , but I wonder if we can realistically expect them to render every item in 3D when they can't even have correct 2D images for the items we steal.

If they do this... they need to let us sell laundered items to other players.

I would love to be able to chose whether to have particular pets inhabiting my home, or see my mounts in the stable. That would be really good (and yes I agree, what is a home without pets? )

Indeed I've been saving my interesting ones (to me) for just such occasion (four alts dedicated to this atm). One can only hope they've heard our pleas, and will comply.

Since when did they cross that treshold? I don't see anything in the crown store that I would use other than skins which change nothing in the game. ZOS has many faults but they haven't yet included anything game-changing in the crown store that you couldn't easily get yourself in a better quality. Almost all MMOs I know have way worse in game shops so I'll appreciate if ZOS will keep their attitude towards the crown store.

If I have to fight to get things off my hand,or cant set in place easily,I wont bother.
That's one of the problems I had with Skyrim and Oblivion. In Morrowind,all I had to do was put an item down where I wanted it and it stayed put.
In the other two games,I had to fling the item off my hand and it would just fly across the room.So,I didnt do homes in them.

They've said they would "start talking about player housing" this year. Well...ZOS... it's practically mid-year! Throw us a bone already and give us some information!!!

In Oblivion I would store the weapons that served me for years or marked important events in display cases. I would spend quite some time making sure the weapons were aligned just so within the display cases and Oblivion's physics engine. Needless to say, I would do so again in ESO if it were possible. I already have 4 such weapons cherished within my backpack.

As far crossing that threshold do you not see the division in the community over the bags? Sure it is the opposite of what you are talking about but there is a little animosity between the players and between the players and ZOS.

Personally I hope that housing is more an in game affair than the housing in swtor but I feel this will be a huge cash grab by them.

Yup, and gives crafters who have "done it all" so far in the game craftwise, something "new" to do, as well as a whole new market for the economy, and something for non-crafters to seek after to sell/use themselves.

I would love to be able to have crafted items from the various races.. seems like it would be something "unique" as far as player housing options compared to other mmos out there.

Until Dark Brotherhood is release they prob not say anything on what plan for next DLC's quite yet. But I really hoping for housing!
