Loot or not to loot..

Loot or not to loot.. that is the question. When I need break from the killing grind, I enjoy looting, especially those safeboxes. I only take stuff of value with 100 gold or more, though. I'm getting quite good in not getting caught. It took me a couple times to learn not to give in to the guard if caught. The first time, I had a lot of stolen loots and was caught by a guard. I only had 23 gold bounty, so, I decided to be a nice guy, since the bounty was so low and paid the guard. Oh yeah, when I went to a fence, I noticed all my loot was gone. I thought it was a glitch or something.

One more time before I finally learned. I was wearing a few armor pieces (stolen) that I found in those thieves guild boxes, and I then was caught by a guard for looting. Again, I had a pretty low bounty. So, being a good citizen, I paid it. Next thing I know, my chest, greave and sabaton pieces were gone, right after I paid that guard. It was quite the spectacle and was actually pretty funny. I was running around with just my underwear (looking like a streaker) trying to find a bank or moneylenders to get my other saved armor pieces to wear. So, no more giving in to a guard if I am caught again.

So, to you all Master Thieves and those inspired to be one, what are some of your tall tales?

- What is the highest gold value item you have found so far? 260 gold value for me so far.
- What are some good gears/equipment you have found in those thieves guild boxes?
- Any funny or interesting moments on your looting ventures?

I've found a lot of purple motifs and purple recipes, don't remember for how much i sold em for but a daedric motif probably went for like 40k when it was rare. I've found a purple legerdemain item as well, the ones that goes for 750g. They are rare though

I used to farm high king Emerics castle since it has a lot of containers, but i grew tired of him complaining to his wife about the uncomfortable chair, the heavy crown and not wanting to visit his wives father.

Must have been a while back, because since Thieves Guild update, those purples have a fence value of 1,500g

Yesterday I got a Dwemer Puzzle Cube and today I got a Covenant Banner, both purple legerdemain items

I once found an Imperial Motif, they're quite valuable once laundered

My MagBlade makes it rlly easy to loot things: he's a Vamp with increased sneak speed, and with inf Cloaking I can escape every guard who (very rarely) manages to spot me

Best item I once looted was at the Wayrest Palace: a shard from Mehrunes Razor (purple quality item)

I miss the few days after the TG release when the thieves boxes spawned so often. Shinies were raining these days.

Nice.. I also found some purple items and recently just realized to launder it for sale.

That is so cool. I see those going around with the fast dash ability. Especially during the early quests in Hew's Bane when you have to sneak, I see those coming in and just dashing through the compound. Very handy ability.
