Sorc healers really don't work. If you're a level 25 and want to heal just make a templar. You can buff and provide resources which is needed just as much as heals are.
    PC Master Race

    1001CP
    8 Flawless Toons, all Classes.
    Master Angler
    Dro-M'artha Destroyer (at last)
    Tamriel Hero
    Grand Overlord
    Every Skyshard

Sorc healers are incredible, do not listen to the above post.

You provide considerable magicka regen and a powerful ult synergy for your group.

You can fill the healer role entirely, you just need to get twilight matriarch first, and maybe healing ward then just stay on top of your ward game and sorc healing is awesome.

Combat prayer healing ward for sure, then choose between healing springs or mutigen / rapid regen, you won't need both.

Twilight matriarch heal is a bit more potent that templar BoL but the trade off is that you have to keep an eye on the pet in some cases, that is what hardened ward is for, it keeps her nice and durable. Even in the most recent end game trial, our sorc healer had no issues with her pet dying.

Seducer is a good set for early game, but latrr on with passives, magicka regen won't be as much of an issue and you can change it up to maybe Julianos or kagrenacs. But for sure early game try to get 5 seducer/3 magnus imo.

Don't think for a second that templars are the defacto healers in this game, the sooner you come to terms with that the more logical a player you will become.

Illusturous Healing as main ground aoe heal.
Rapid Regen as self-targeting heal over time (hot).
Healing Ward and/or Twilight as big heal for troubled times.
Ult: Barrier (for the magicka regen if you have it) Shooting Star, Atronach and Negate (which gets a healing morph in the next update) also works.

Ive been healed by sorcs through vICP which is the most difficult dungeon so it definitely possible to be a good healer on a sorc (although tanks appreciate spears from templars for stam return).
    PC - EU (AD)
    Septimus Mezar - Altmer Sorcerer
    Septimus Rulanir - Orsimer Templar
    Septimus Desmoru - Khajiit Necromancer
Septimus Iroh - Dunmer Dragon Knight
    Septimus Thragar - Dunmer Nightblade
    Septimus Jah'zar - Khajiit Nightblade
    Septimus Nerox - Redguard Warden
    Septimus Ozurk - Orsimer Sorcerer

You don't feel having both rapid regen and illustrious is overkill?

I personally thought twilight and healing ward were mandatory.

Depends on the ability you use. The vast majority scale off magicka and spell damage (all resto staff heals, all class heals that cost magicka, etc). A very few scale off stamina/weapon damage (Vigor, rally). For group healing magicka is the go-to resource since there are many more options available.
