What is happening in Vvardenfell in this era? Has the Tribunal thing happened yet I forget. Anyway, as I suspect when a actual expansion comes out. It will be Vvardenfell and surrounding areas. So we can discuss the realities here of that era and area. Looking forward to some insight...

Yeah it's a good question, some time ago I believe I read somewhere that Vvardenfell is currently a barren wasteland during this period, hence this region being left out in ESO. Now with the rumours that it could actually be coming in ESO, we certainly need our TES Lore Masters out there to come help fill us in :)

Yes Tribunal exists, after all you will meet Almalexia in your adventures for the Pact. As far as Vvardenfell in 2E see UESP.net

Here's a little teaser from UESP:

Pelagiad was a small settlement in the Ascadian Isles region of Morrowind, on the island of Vvardenfell.

In 2E 582, a garrison was maintained in Pelagiad by the Ebonheart Pact.[1] After Vvardenfell was opened for settlement in 3E 414, Fort Pelagiad was built by the Imperial Legion and House Hlaalu to guard the roads between Vivec, Balmora and Seyda Neen. Legion veterans began to build farms around the fort, and several shops were set up as the village grew. The town was officially chartered, and noted for its Western architecture resembling that of a High Rock village.[2] By 3E 427, the settlement boasted a tavern, tradehouse, blacksmith and Imperial Cult services.[3] Following the destruction caused during the Red Year of 4E 5,[4] Pelagiad was likely destroyed.

So they want to take us there eventually. When did the meteor fall from the sky that Vivic stopped from destroying Vvardenfell?

Digging my brains memories here... but weren't the dark elves (Dunmer) originally the Chimer who settled in Morrowind and were at war with the Dwemer? If i remember, when the event happened that wiped out the dwemer, the Chimer turned into the dark skinned Dunmer at that point.

I could be wrong, I seem to remember that though

You are correct, but those events were happening throughout mid Dawn Era and very early First Era.
You can check more about Dwemer and those events HERE.
