Is this now going to be possible with the release of DB? The water between the two is very narrow, and very shallow in places, and I don't see why this shouldn't be possible.

    Good luck and watch out for Slaughterfish!!
    I've tried to go between the mainland and Khenarthi's Roost,since you can see the other side,but got killed. In Hew's Bane you cant even go around the edges of the cliffs at times without getting attacked by a school of murdurous Slaughterfish. lol.

    There is an invisible barrier so you can't, i don't know why the game is not open world.

    I tried to swim between the Gold Coast and Malabal Tor on the PTS. I am afraid the slaughterfish get you first :P

    It isnt Molag Bal who needs to go down.He rules nothing. It's the Slaughterfish!
    We all need to go on a huge net hunt for Slaughterfish until they are extinct! Group up and go to each place where they live and throw nets over them and pull them out of that water!
    A great achievement would be given to everyone on the massive group of players who did this then:
    "Slaughterfish extinguisher"

    What if someone tried to get through the water in the same way that people have gotton to the Isle of Balferia in High Rock? would they end up in Malabor Tor then?

    You can't! there is a barrier around the zone in the form of a square i already tried swimming to hammerfell and malabal tor

    I had no clue why my health was going down, I thought I was just drowning in the deeper water. It was in my first week of playing when I got the achievement by accident and found out who the real culprit was! I was swimming around the cliffs of Glenumbra, and it was only a short distance from one beach to another. I was like, "Yeah I can totally make that!". I had my health potions ready just in case, swam close to the cliff, *health drops dramatically*... "Just a little further! I might still make it! Nope! Abort! ABORT!" Turned around but it was too late.

    I'm pretty sick of Slaughterfish. That's one mechanic this game could do without. Not being able to swim to something you can see is extremely annoying and not 'Scrolls-ish'!

    Back in the old days you could avoid Slaughterfish damage by jumping in the water, completely avoiding gravity and all basics of physics. Venturing into the far lands of purple/white textures, unfinished or empty areas... damn it was great.

    It's VERY "Scroll-ish" as Slaughterfish were in Morrowind.I dont know about Oblivion,as I never tried to swim anywhere in that game.

    They even have slaughterfish in Coldharbor... The public dungeon. If you jump from the wrong platform or swim the wrong way, it's chompy chompy chompy time...

    But, saying this, you can see the Malabal Tor Lighthouse from the Gold Coast and also, if you go to Malabal Tor you can now see the coast of the Gold Coast and some of the new buildings e.g some castles of the Order. If you go there on live, they aren't there. It is actually quite nice to be able to see across at least

    That's some cool shite, but I'm sure the gitch been patched up by now. I'm surprised you guys spend that long of time out there or not run into some slaughterfishes glitch chasing after you swimming through the air or something.

    I think it would still be better if the game allowed you to cross with a loading screen than hitting an invisible wall.
